How many of us would have walked right by this? I would have and then I would have missed an opportunity. This image can conger up a lot of tall tales. Safe travels. |

Great action shot. Who wouldn't want one of those gals to save you from drowning 😉. Love all the colors. Getting more of the woman on the right in the image would have been awesome but I can imagine how fast the action was. Right place at the right time! |

There are so many things to think about as a photographer. Negative space, minimalist, B&W vs color, rule of thirds ........ I need to think more about the first two. Nice capture and example of less is more. |

Without the original I would have never guessed the subject. It can really play with the mind! I don't explore enough with apps that distort, but maybe I should. |

Without your explanation I would wonder what was the subject, the people or the train. Being a photographer does call on a lot of patience with people just walking in front of you. (Can you tell it is a pet peeve of mine). It was great that you were able to capture this historic train and I think the conversion to B&W was a good choice. I agree with Dave that it fits photojournalism. |

I also like the edited version the best. Love how the colors were pulled out especially in the foreground bridge and the red bridge. Good eye to capture the three different styles of bridges. The cables in the first bridge are also nicely accentuated against the bluish sky. Very nice image. |

As I recall I didn't use HDR in Snapseed. I have attached the original in a separate post. |

I have added the original image in a separate post. I meant to put it under your comments but ....... |

I looked back at the original and the clouds were dark underneath. I do use "accentuate" frequently in Snapseed and I think that does add some HDR. Here is the original. |

I like both images but think it works in B&W. The butterfly is sharp with nice detail. I would suggest in cropping that you not place the subject in the middle of the frame. Remember the rule of thirds. A vignette would also bring more focus to the butterfly while toning down the vegetation around him. |

Interesting street photography. You caught a moment in time that makes the viewer wonder where a man using a walker and pulling a suitcase might be going. I use Snapseed all the time with my phone images (I also belong to DD51 phoneography group). If the man is your main subject I would tone down the highlights and open up the shadows a bit so more attention is placed on man. You might also consider a vignette. |

I like both images. Each one evokes a different emotion. I think the B&W image would be helped by putting a small stroke around it or a suitable frame. As I currently view it I don't know where the edge of the image is as it is blending into the background. |

I always like old city buildings, especially in Europe and Scandinavia. Your cropping brought the focus to the old city gate. I like the sepia tone but to me the sky is too dark especially along the top. I would suggest lightening the sky to bring out some of the detail that is seen in the original. |

Thanks Dave. Sometimes I don't have an image that I think will look good in B&W but I thought this one would work. |
