51 Apr 19 Comment How fun. I like all the creative images from this group. I just don't have a creative bone in my body or one side of my brain is missing. The pug blends very nicely with the wall and I like the black lines that I'm guessing are whiskers or hairs on the pug. Apr 10th
51 Apr 19 Comment It looks like the Lion King to me. WOW. I love what the app did and your vision to experiment. This belongs in a creative photo competition. The complementary colors and graphic flow of the lines just pulls my eye into the image. Well done. Apr 10th
51 Apr 19 Comment I have yet to do well photographing foggy scenes and yet you nail them. I have a feeling of walking into Sleepy Hollow and wondering what I will find. The curve of the foreground grass over to the fence and then the fence curving toward the center of the image keeps the eye in the frame. Nicely done. Apr 9th
51 Apr 19 Comment I like the cropping you did to put the focus on the flowers. My eye flows from the bottom to the top and I like the splash of green leaves on the left. I think Painteresque did a nice job of adding texture for an old feeling to the dead leaves. Good eye. Apr 9th
51 Apr 19 Comment Always so much to learn and this group has been so great in sharing. I like the first conversion much better than the original. But, I like the sepia tint with the aging lines even more. It reminds me of an old postcard and to me represents the era of the elevator. You don't see many of these structures left anymore. Apr 9th
51 Apr 19 Comment First, I enjoyed your article in the PSA journal. I echo the others comments. My inquiring mind wonders how the water seeped through the rocks to form the "ice fall". Great exposure right out of the phone. Apr 9th
51 Apr 19 Reply I looked at the horizon too when I processed the image. Then I looked at the boats and they looked level. There is a walking bridge in the background and I think that is what makes the horizon look a little off. Apr 6th
51 Apr 19 Reply I don't think I could have gotten all of the mast and reflection in the image. I was standing on the gang plank leading to the floating dock and tide was out so the boat was sitting low and it was the first boat as you went down to the dock. Good suggestion though. Thanks Apr 5th

74 Apr 19 Comment I'm not a portrait photographer but I really like your composition. The B&W softened the tones and I like the sliver of light across the forehead and eye. To me it adds the light needed to show the skin texture and facial features. Well done. Apr 13th
74 Apr 19 Comment A beautiful action shot and I like the B&W over the color. Your shutter speed was fast enough to stop the action, keep everything sharp and freeze the flying water. Great image. Apr 13th
74 Apr 19 Comment A great idea to catch the moment of this man fishing in solitude. Also, difficult to capture the moment without disturbing him. I agree that the multiple branches are a distraction and most of them could probably be removed in post processing. Good eye. Apr 13th
74 Apr 19 Comment A beautiful waterfall and I like that you used a slow enough shutter speed to give a sense of movement in the water. I like your cropping to put the focus on the waterfall and eliminate the sky. The rocks especially on the right of the waterfall look crinkle for lack of a better word. Maybe that is over sharpening from the unsharp mask. I think you met your goal of focusing on the water. Apr 13th
74 Apr 19 Comment This is a tough scene to photograph with a blank white sky. Maybe you could have taken the image from a different angle to avoid including any sky. I love the fresh snow on the bushes and trees. Apr 13th
74 Apr 19 Comment A good subject for black and white. It really brings out the texture in the stones and the steeple. LR did a good job brightening the image. I agree the church is still leaning back some. This is a time to take a wider image to give room for correcting the perspective. Apr 13th
