Thank you for showing the process from a rather mundane image to a beautiful work of art. Even though you left the bus and building in the image I don't think they are a distraction as they recede into the background of color. Distressed FX really added drama to the image. You are inspiring me to not pass over a mundane image and think more of what it could become with good post processing. |

My experience here on the west coast is not being able to get close to the shore birds with a DSLR and tele lens let alone a phone camera. Beautiful captures and compositions. I like that you did the collage. I would not have thought to do that so thanks for the idea. |

This image reminds me of a book I recently purchased and just started reading "Why You Like This Photo: The Science of Perception" by Brian Dilg. Bob, I think you are on a journey that I have not even thought about yet. I'm learning that photography is certainly a journey. There is so much to learn. I love seeing your interpretations. Well done. |

The green light is in the original images also and might be a landing light at the airport. It could easily be removed with Retouch app. I have found that some of the apps, one of them being Vivid HDR, causes very dark areas in an image to turn purple or lavender like chromatic aberration. I like the composition and the beautiful reflected colors from the sky into the water. Maybe a more subtle preset in Painteresque would have worked better. |

A very impressionist feel. I agree with Bob about the amount of blank white space on the right. I feel like I fall into a void. Capturing the trees in the fog gives a mysterious feel to the image. Nice signature. |

Beautifully captured "God Beams". A ray of hope for the new year. |

I like both images but I think the B&W meets your goal of giving the image an old feeling (out of an ancient book). I like the blurred background while maintaining detail in most of the camel and rider. |

The light and the angles leads my eye nicely through the image. I like that there is enough separation in the ducks that you can tell they are ducks. Persistence paid off. |

Very nice capture with the bokeh. I agree that the image is very busy with no place for the eye to land. Possibly a tighter crop to produce a focal point. Always fun to find the unexpected when out for a walk with the camera. |

Both images are beautiful. In the color version I find the pink flower behind the butterfly a bit distracting but in the B&W it is a nice soft background. Great detail in the butterfly. A lucky find and that he stayed long enough for you to get your shot. |

I visited this church several years ago but not at night. The B&W conversion really pulls out the detail in the stone of the church. You picked a good time to visit as during the day it is crowded with tourists. Nice composition with the statue off to the side and framed against the dark sky. |
