Thank you for all the great comments. These structures are certainly relics of the past and remind me of an Alfred Hitchcock horror movie, thus the birds. And I also felt that corner needed a filler and the birds were the most appropriate subject.
I will plan to go back next winter when it gets dark earlier. Don't think I want to be up there late at night, too spooky. |

A very creative image. I have done something similar in Photoshop with Polar Circles. I don't have any of the apps you mentioned. Putting the original rose in the center of the swirl is the winning touch. Well done. |

What a nice garden you have to relax in and listen to the birds. Not sure you could crop out the object on the left without cutting off some of the chair leg. Possibly clone it out or reshoot the scene with that object moved. I agree this would look nice on a card. |

When needed I use iResize. I love the simplicity of this image and the colors compliment each other. The vignette is very effective in drawing the eye to the main subject. Distressed FX really pulls the grain out in the wood. |

A beautiful painting indeed. I love the softness in the elements and the colors. Happy travels and keep shooting. |

I can not see any indication this was from a video. The app did a great job and you were innovative in thinking about a different approach to photographing a moving subject. Well done. |

I'm glad you showed the original as it really shows the difference with the effect of the apps. I really like the warm gold tones and how Distressed FX gives a painterly effect. It would be interesting to see the difference with the strength of the texture decreased. |

The cooling towers, two of them, are just hollow structures. They are surrounded by a cyclone fence so you can't get inside which I think would be a neat photo shooting straight up from the bottom of the tower. |
