i like the image, and I like the way you captured it in the camera. I enjoy the post processing notes also.
Guess I am in a Learning/teaching mode. There are settings in the camera that delays the release of the shutter after the button is pushed.. There are inexpensive remote electronic shutter release. I assume you can still purchase the long extention cord to release the shutter manually. You can manually raise the mirror to help also.
Guess you use the tricks to get the shot. I did a horse shoot at night in Wellington FL, i ended up using ISO I never dreamed of, ISO of 4000.

Looks like a great beach shot to me. Hindsight says a reflector or fill flash would have helped the eyes pop more so. Thanks for being a great group leader. Jesse |

Happy Valentine's Day to you and the group 9.
I might have eliminated/cloned out one more twig.
While I like the border I feel it distracts somewhat.
A one or two pixel white border on the very outside might look better? Only two awards, gives you something to shoot for the next time, I am kidding. Congratulation on a job well done. Jesse.

Wow, this image knocked my socks off. Sitting here in sunny Florida, I got the chills looking at all the wonderful snow and ice. Good luck in the competition, it should do well! Jesse. |

I was looking at images I had taken using the P Mode.
I visited WMODA, Museum of Decorative Arts.
I could not use a flash either in or on the camera.
The shutter speed in Metadata showed that I could get solid images with shutter speeds below 1/60 or 1/30 of a sec.
So, what I am getting at is that you have a wonderful image taken at a shutter speed of 1/8th of a sec.
Any chance of seeing the before picture?
I am sure Nik and Photoshop helped.
Another excellent architectural shot, well done!
Thanks, Jesse. |

Thank you for the before and after images as well as how you got there. Sure does make it an excellent learning experience.
I recognize the need to be able to manipulate an image.
I currently try harder to get the image right in the camera.
