Well I remember reading about people who chewed on Bezel Nuts when I was a kid. It turned their teeth red, so seeing this woman smiling and offering to pose for me, took me back to my childhood (I am 84 now). I sent a different type of pic in for next month, hope it doesn't shock the group too much. Jesse

I tend to look for white whites and dark black blacks in a B&W image. In these areas I look for details both in the whites as well as the blacks.
A splash of color would pop out of this image for sure.
Keep trying, don't get discouraged. |

The reworked image is definitely an improvement over the original.
A woman in a red dress walking up the steps would be a focal point, or a basket of flowers. |

I agree with the group, the foreground needs some work.
Rest of picture is tack sharp and subject is very interesting. |

More room for the bird to move to would make this image perfect.
Love your bird pictures. You will have to show me where you get all these lovely pictures of birds.
