Thanks Emil, it's amazing what lighting can do, i totally missed this.
I think perhaps the gradients can be smoothed a little bit more, but what youve done, compared to the original, is outstanding. Thanks for taking the time. |

Thanks Palli! So nice to hear from you again. I like what you've done with this, darkening the stone walls, yet preserving detail, adds some mood, and helps this a lot. |

My eye went right down the lane, Steve, and then up to that beautiful sky. There may not be a lot going on there, but I love the subtlety of it, I can feel the motion. It's a nice, neat scene with no distracting elements, and works very well in infrared. |

The starkness of the tree without foliage adds some nice mood to this, Emil, of somber, approaching winter. I might have preferred the sky a little darker, and yet as it is, the bridge stands out nicely, as being the darkest part of the scene. |

Good job, Henry, I havent' done this in a while, it always amazed me how much a good camera could catch a sharp image from 30,000 ft. This has beautiful patterns and textures. |

You're taking advantage of Gary's departure, Charles, to present a decidedly low contrast image ;)
I understand the mood that this creates here, but my preference would be for a bit more contrast, as is revealed in the original. It has the makings of a lovely scene, including bicycles. I prefer the dashed lines in the road, but I've a feeling others will agree with their removal. |

Curious as to where this was taken, I had a look at your bio Arik, which doesn't say, so perhaps you could let us know?
I love skies like this. In IR there is always the issue of how you address the whites in the clouds vs the landscape. In color photography these would be the brightest part of the image, nearly true white. Yet here, the clouds are mid tone, quite a bit darker than the landscape. My preference would be for the clouds a little brighter, but it's a very nice image even so. |

Thanks for showing us that IR doesn't need foliage, Melanie. This has the feel of an old black and white photograph. And you've caught a moment in time, as well. |

Interesting take, Steven. I think you're on to something about the unusual aspect ratio. It must be something about seeing them full screen on the phone, that works in that environment, but maybe not overall. |

It's beautiful and whimsical, Kieu-Hanh. I like that there's no start or finish to the umbrellas, nor does the scene behind them distract. Umbrellas make natural repeating circles, which are very pleasing, and these have great color and patterns within, as well. |

The light, color and sharpness make for quite a beautiful scene, Bill!
The original, which as we can tell from the sky is actually a different shot than your edit, is also very good, and I prefer the sky in this one, and the center positioning of the grain elevator. However your editing made for quite a polished final version, very nice. |

Steve, yes, upon examination it looks like the original Bill sent me is not of the final edit. We'll see if Bill could share that one.

What carries this beyond the ordinary, is that photo, Sue. I like that its understated, being in black and white, so that it's not obvious at first, and we have the aha moment of finding it; nice effect! |

The pots set the tone with those bright colors, Steven. Did you up the saturation even more, or is this the phone default settings? I have a pet peeve about seeing one corner or border, and not the other, as some would say, it takes me out of the frame, but it's not a major issue for this one. Good travel photo. |
