Interesting seeing this right after Henry's, definitely day and night!
Good job with rendering the mood of a night image, Emil. The light from the lamp, not being in the original, took some work, good job! It could be even a tad brighter. There's a heaviness to it overall, but if you brighten it too much you'll lose the night feel. |

Going for the high key exposure as you did, allows the building to stand out nicely Henry. Part of me wants to see some black in the tree trunks, but I'm not sure, I'll wait to see what others say. |

What a great way of working with a sky, Gary, as in not just capturing great clouds, but integrating the sky into your composition. It's so well composed! I wish the foreground had that sand, uniform to the left edge, but that's a nitpick. |

Like last month, you've got a beautiful scene that evokes all sorts of possibilities, a bit of the old west for me, though the building at left is perhaps too new for that. Again you've got a great sky, I would be tempted to punch it up a bit, as in blacker, but its nice as is. |

Yes, looking at the other images, its easy to see that mine needs more contrast, and I think a bit of warming would help too. |

I'm drawn to fence shadows too, they make natural and easy leading lines. Here, the curve is a bonus. I like the touch of sepia. The nice strong mid tone contrast here helps me see that my own image needs more. Very nice. |

I think the infrared black and white neutralizes the graffiti to some extent, Melanie, turning it all into a busy background which works really well. She stands out from the busy-ness, helped by leaving some color in her hair. I wish the background extended all the way to the left, but otherwise, it's edgy, dynamic, and compelling. |

Boy was I sure a long way off!
The way you presented it, at an angle, it looked like the sprockets on the rear wheel gear of a bike, but upon closer examination obviously isn't!
Good job. |

Thanks Steven, something seemed not quite right to me and I think you've hit on it, I will crop out the tree. |

Thank you Kieu-Hanh, this temple is at Phnom Sampeau, near Battambang, in western Cambodia, built in 1964. In the distance you can see the expanse of rice farms. |

A good one for the season, Kieu-Hanh. I was enjoying the street scene and then "found" the snake. It's interesting you opted to show a wider view. I enjoy the context, the color, the shops. But I think the foreground doesn't contribute much. I am curious, did you keep distance because of the snake? |

Nice sunset colors Sue, and the tree is one of those that works well as a semi-silhouette , we don't need to see its detail, and it's well placed in the image. |

For the others, I found when viewing as a thumbnail, it appears to be a bicycle, the gears.
It's one of those that works better small, for me. It's good "seeing", the repeated shapes, has order yet disorder, and has Kieu-Hanh noted, it can be many things. |
