Thank you Emil, yes, this is what I am after, too, I think your edit works very well, and I appreciate you taking the time. |

Thanks, Charles. I can't really crop from the bottom, without losing the tree reflection. From the side, perhaps a little, but I like the cloning that Gary did, as a solution. |

Interesting take on this, Henry. Yours is more of a "morning", with the high key. Nice even tones, but the sky is a little too bright for me. Thanks for taking the time. |

Nice job on the edit, Gary. The toning is more even, and good cloning on the bottom right! I used to use Silver Fx extensively way back as an Aperture plug-in for converting color black and whites. I see less use for it in infrared, but for an image like this maybe its worth giving it a try again. |

There are interesting graphical qualities to this, Emil. The boats in a row, the triangles of the mast frames, and the almost perpendicular lines formed by the clouds, it all plays off each other. Just as in Henry's image, the sky is the most interesting part, and the clouds lend mood to the image. |

I'm a fellow lover of skies like this, Henry. The clouds give a whimsical mood to the entire image, they set the stage. For me the boat seems to share the place with the valley behind it. I don't know if you could have positioned just a tad lower, and maybe made the boat more center stage. But it works fine, and I love the overall feel of it. |

It's not what I remember from Joshua Tree, Gary, but good for you for finding something different. I'm amazed at how those rocks pop, and in infrared. There must have been some moss or some such on them. Nice center lightning, and good job bringing this back from the underexposed original. |

Having the person there makes so much of a difference in this, Charles. I can feel the wind blowing, (from her hair) and the desolation of the place. I'm not sure the tonalities of the image lend themselves all that well to infrared, but it still works, its nicely laid out. |

I love the crisp sharpness of your infrareds, Arik, and this one is no exception. Nice light, nicely laid out. The right side of the image gives me pause a little bit, partly due to the black background of the web page, the image loses its frame. Looking at the original gives some reference. I love the black sky, but darkening the trees as well, just kind of makes the whole right side of the image fall off. Keeping the tonality in and around the trees, that you had in the original, works better for me. |

It's such a peaceful scene, Melanie. It's a great sky for infrared, which could be punched up a little more, but what makes it special for me is the foreground grass, and the way it renders in infrared. |

I love artsy coffee shops, Kieu-Hanh, here, including both the blue wall on the left, and the table and chairs, adds so much context, beyond the main mural that interested you. |

We were thinking along the same lines this month, Ruth. The barren trees in front of the clouds tell a story of winter, of impending storm. It is a good way or presenting this. |

Such a cozy scene, Sue, and you did an excellent job of presenting it. The position of the large book is perfect, and the other smaller ones behind and off to the side, very nice. The warm colors are so inviting! |

I can almost smell the aromas here, Steven. The iPhone did a good job of preserving the shadows in what was a dark and contrasty place. Your vantage point gives the image a nice 3D quality. I like the rustic qualities of this, the old rickety beams, compared to what we see here in California. I'm envious of your experience! |
