Thanks, Charles, that sounds like a good idea, unfortunately, I don't have the software for more creative edits anymore. |

Having visited there myself, I can appreciate how considered this composition is Emil. There are so many dramatic scenes, but here the simple procession of the five small formations in line works very well, for its mood, and understatement. A more dramatic sky would have taken away from the scene. The one you have works perfectly. I like your placement of the horizon , and the overall soft treatment. Well done. |

We have certainly crossed paths, Henry. I knew this was familiar, but as it's an unusual take on the scene, I didn't immediately recognize Virginia City. The feeling of desolation comes through nicely, and I like the shadow. I think the church is just too close to the edge. As you wanted to include it, I would have included a little more on that side. |

Nicely rendered, Gary. I keep thinking about Arik's point; I'm not sure if the close in crop works for me. I want to see more context, but maybe that would introduce distracting elements, or maybe that would just result in too commonplace an image. |

I love the sky, Charles and I like the way you decided to let more than half the image be the sky. You could have gone even further to perhaps 3/4.
I love sun fleck scenes like this. But the moment you captured has the distant forests in shade and the foreground in sun; I might have tried for other combinations. |

It's an ordinary scene, but obviously well thought out, Arik. Besides the curve of the path, it's the leaning branch of the front tree that is essential, for me. There are absolutely no distractions, and I like the subtle warming, I try to do it myself on most of my infrareds. |

I like the graphical qualities to this, Melanie; the circles on the pond, the squares of the reflections, the lines of the reeds; nice. You could finesse the crop at the top, to where it's all pond showing. I also found the water lilies etc left corner to be a distraction. If you had a few at right, that would balance it. I like the blue toned one just as much. |

For me, I would prefer this without the leaf. I like the idea of repeating curves and shapes, but I would prefer also a sharper image. It may have just been degraded due to cropping. |

Nice travel moment caught here, Kieu-Hanh. Including both the ladies broadens the scene, but I do find my eye keeps going back and forth between them. I think with a conventional camera, the distant lady would have been blurred a little, adding more depth and interest to the scene. This still works well, and as Steve says, great color. |

Steve makes excellent comments. It's the way they're looking at each other that makes this more special than an average snap shot. |

A good one for the season, Susan. You certainly did make it "pop". Steve makes a good point about just a tad more than optimal, perhaps. |

Nice travel image, Steve. For myself, I always enjoy seeing vineyards elsewhere in the world. The terraces here are impressive! And the river is a nice touch. |
