Thanks for taking the time, Emil. You make a good point, and you've opened up the shadows on the ruins a bit. But, similar to my original, I think it's too dark overall, and feels "heavy". Henry's is more to my liking, but it's great to have the two versions to compare. |

Thanks Henry.
You and Emil (below) have created two different versions of this. The way you've brightened the shadows, yet kept the dark branches, works well for me. |

I echo Gary and Palli comments, Emil.
The background definitely has a soft, mystical feel, and contrasts nicely with the fountain area. I like that the path leads into the scene, adding some depth. |

As Gary says, the face definitely pops Palli!I also like the blue tones, and the composition itself is very interesting with the spokes of the wheel alongside the face. |

Nice, Gary, love the grass just in front of the old car. I do like the sky, but as Palli says, perhaps the vignette is just a bit heavy, and also it leaves a little halo around the tree at right. Otherwise, I like the sepia and the mood to this overall. |

Gary and Palli hit on some of what I was thinkin Charles, mostly I wish the foliage was lighter, as Gary says that's the light you had, but I think it's possible to brighten it a bit in post. Also, while in your original there's some nice framing around the little bridge, that's lost in your edit. You might be able to bring that back by darkening the bottom a little, if you agree. |

Thanks Palli, your edit fixes many things, well done! I think I have other versions with some room on the right side. |

Very nice Arik; the channel swapping certainly produces some beautiful images.
A couple of small issues for me: a little less foreground would focus the viewer more on the ships, and, the tonality of the water is substantially different than that of the sky. This only matters because the blues bring this back into the realm of reality, and something about the different shades of blue doesn't feel right, but could be "just me". |

I agree this has a nice mood to it Melanie. One thing I'm seeing is that the V tree is quite dark on top, I was thinking maybe you applied a vignette, but you said just darkened the foreground. But other than the uneven tonality, it's very nice. |

It's a pleasing scene, Pat. The duck, and its placement, makes this for me. I also like the fallen tree. The painterly effect works nicely too. |

Thanks for the background info, Kieu-Hahn, that's fascinating, and adds to the enjoyment of the image. The folds make for good repeating lines and an interesting image. |

It's always nice to see flowers in different stages of bloom, Ruth. It makes an image more dynamic, and interesting. They're nicely laid out and I like that the top one is just about to bloom. |

Yes, Sue, you've got the odd number, no distracting elements, it's clean simple and effective. The waves provide a nice backdrop. |

Good job in switching it up, Steve. It's the less expected view, and I like that you took care to fully include the instruments in the scene.
The audience is the subject, so no problem there, although I do wish the audience was a bit more animated ;) but it's a good story shot, nonetheless. |
