Great image Henry with that classic IR sky. The eye then goes down to the very interesting building, and the people add a nice touch. I would disagree with Gary this time, for me, it all comes together quite well. |

Good points from the others. Like Gary, I like the leaves on top in the original. They frame the image. Using infrared to make a color image is interesting, there are so many possibilities. I wouldn't know where to start. Nicely done Emil. |

You've got some great graphical images, Palli. My eye goes round and round the main object. The windows upper right are a little bit distracting to me, I could see a tighter crop all around working. The harsh filter works very well for this image. |

Great little detail Palli picked up on with the missing headlight. I wish there was even more context, but I can see from the original it was pretty much just the car there. I like how the car renders, but like Arik, I'm not a fan of the blurred border. |

I echo Gary's comments Charles. My first impression is there is too much sky, but if your end goal is a print, I can understand keeping the conventional dimensions. I like the way the dark hills render. It's simple and effective. |

Along the lines of what Gary said, what I believe is patches of moss on the front tree trunk makes this for me, brings me into the scene. I'm guessing this is one of those faux snowy scenes made possible by infrared, or maybe there is actually some snow? The fact I have a hard time discerning this shows how effective this is. Great mood, very enjoyable image for me especially now in the throes of summer. |

Nice vantage point Melanie. I like the black for the sky, but the blue for the river. I like that the river makes a jog here. I keep imagining the beautiful greens of the vineyards and think perhaps for me, the best version would be natural color. |

Thanks Gary, and Palli also, yes I think this is an improvement. |

A nice bit of Americana for the fourth, Pat. It brings to mind the small towns that dot the heartland, and how celebrations of the fourth play so prominently into life here. |

I like the back lit cactus, and was drawn to the same when I visited Joshua Tree NP, perhaps this is the same place?
I like Steven's crop, it really opens up the photo to that vast expanse. To use the big cactus to frame the image, I think you would need to crop down a little, and then that would work too. Right now there's enough going on with that cactus so that it kind of steals the scene, and the eye doesn't get a chance to behold the vast expanse beyond. |

The background is blurred, and although the bokeh isn't quite as nice as that of a good macro lens, it's still very good. The drops on the flowers are a nice touch. The pink flowers at the bottom make for a nice accent, Kieu-Hanh. |

Having the leaves in there gives the image something unique, Ruth. This came out surprisingly well for a phone camera. It has a bit of a yellow cast but I'm guessing it was near the horizon. |

The end result has a well balanced exposure, Sue. We're able to appreciate the sky at sunset and still have a properly exposed scene.
Note: we had an issue getting the original posted, and I'm traveling now for the holiday but will get in posted within the week, as it is helpful for comparison. |

The iPhone sure does a nice job with this Steve. Your caption helps me understand the story. I think I prefer the wider version you posted in group 87, as the story is more readily understood. But nicely done just the same. |
