I like the way you've used the window here, Henry, and the contrast, it's hard to go wrong with a true black and white image like this, it's just hard to find the right scene, and you've done so, well done! I also found the the part of the chair in the background to be a distraction. |

Framing this with the fir foliage, as you did, really makes this for me, Emil. It creates mood, beautiful tonalities and textures. I also like the original very much; the additional tones and especially the richer blacks, are compelling for sure! I could go either way on the foreground stones, I think you're taking them out works. |

It's a bold image taken through a window like this, Palli. I appreciate it and it's stronger than would be through a normal window. I'm not sure the blue works for me, I keep going back to the original, maybe it's the bench and path, as Arik points out. Either way it's an interesting image. |

This is classic, Gary!
It's often hard to get the sky contrast in sync with the landscape contrast, and you've done it perfectly here. Bold with the sky, and yet it doesn't detract attention from the horses, the scene looks like out of a movie. It feels like it leans left a tiny bit, but no one else has mentioned it so maybe not. |

Compelling subject Charles, for sure!
We haven't heard from Gary yet, but I think the processing needs to step it up a little given the drama of the scene, ie, black sky for those clouds, and a bit more contrast throughout.

When viewing my own images, I will usually pass on those with the lamppost in the foreground, as you have here, but I'm sure you considered it and I hope you'll weigh in. In a way, I applaud you for going with it, it still works. I especially love how your image leads the eye to the little brick building down the road. |

I could have sworn I'd taken this image, Melanie, but what makes your image unique from anything I have is the little one on top, it's the perfect accent! |

I like filling a frame, and you've done that nicely here kieu Hahn. Steve makes some good points about the vantage point. I like the way the phone camera makes these colors pop. |

If nothing else, it's a reminder of our common humanity, Pat! I was just there a couple days ago, nice to know I'm not the only one. It's nice that you have found a funny moment in it. I'm seeing the row of instruments rather than just the "clock" but of course each will have his or her own interpretation of this slice of life image. |

I agree with the others, nice background for this flower! Sue makes a good point, having the flower against the tree trunk works so well. The little v right above it is ok but would be better all tree. |

Yes, for a phone camera, that's a big crop. You might try cropping less, it would still work. Even so, it's fun "finding" all four hooves to be off the ground, timely! |

Thanks, Sue. The tub is in a separate bathroom. Yes, I wish the edges were vertical too, I think I can fix that if I work on it. |
