Actually, Charles, I had misread the caption (thinking you cloned in the sea). I think you would have still had a compelling image just by cropping down into the bare sky a bit, but I understand the creative license! |

This is a beautiful scene, Emil, and evokes a sense of mood, quite compelling.
For me, it's the positioning that gives me pause. I realize it's a personal preference but for me, and especially in this image, the centering detracts, and I agree with Melanie's suggestion. Also think that cropping just a bit from the top would remove the too perfect symmetry of the reflection. Here again, it's a minor issue and others would like the symmetry.
I do like Gary's version, but for me, just a little edge burning on top would suffice, or perhaps a vignette. But the sky is just a tad too bright up to the edge.
These are minor inputs Emil as you have a quite enjoyable image here even as is. |

I will echo the other comments Palli, in particular Melanie's, more separation is needed with the tree from its background, and Emils version is a step in the right direction but not quite there for me. But the shrubbery mid frame just to the right needs to be made less prominent.
It's a wonderful tree and you've brought out some great detail. |

Beautifully done, Gary! I especially like seeing how you're processing improved this over the original. Not only the lighting, but the composition, the folded hands, comes into its own. And you have just a touch of that infrared wax museum character as well... |

I enjoyed that there is so much going on here, Charles. The sky does steal the show, fwiw. And as the sea is apparent in the original, I don't quite understand that part of your caption.
But You've created a compelling scene, well done. |

Arik, to me this is all about the curve, quite nice!
That said I'd have some minor suggestions.
I agree with Gary's comments about the toning, it should be uniform.
I think bringing out a little more of the blacks in the tree would help, as there's so much tree, with little detail.
And if it were possible a slightly higher perspective would show more of the road.
Finally, why not make the road as black as possible.
Very enjoyable image. |

Where was this taken, Melanie? It looks like a vineyard, or a farm of some kind, and with the foliage framing makes for a lovely pastoral scene. Great sense of mood evoked.
Side note, I love the orange sky and rooftop in the original, but that's another image, |

Thanks, Palli. I'm not sure why, but I do think I like your flip better!. I look forward to hearing others' take on this. |

It's a good creative effect for this scene, Pat; that's what race horses do, go 'round and round, of course. My eye goes right to the center, and what looks to be a person, which actually adds interest, but I think in reality it is just the effect of the distortion on a horse; fun to ponder! |

It's certainly quite a find, Gene, the complete circular web with the spider at the center. I'm not quite seeing the effects of focus lock, but I'm thinking the limited resolution of the phone camera is preventing me from seeing all the sharpness and detail in the scene. Unfortunately, the light is quite harsh, and while the web is nicely illuminated, the shadowy scene behind the web is so contrasty as it detracts from the web just a bit. |

It's an interesting image to ponder, Kieu-Hanh. Having the people in the image turns it into a journalistic image, adds a story element, and also has the effect of making the monument look huge! Without the people, scale would have been very difficult. The horizon is fine for me, as is, and I love the deep blue sky. Well done. |

That's a new one for me, Ruth; I don't think I've ever seen an armadillo before. They almost look metallic, and they're so similiar it looks like you've cloned them. Thanks for sharing. |

This turned out great, Belinda! I used to do these in photoshop on my desktop, I didn't know Snapseed could do these too, blend modes. I think the fact that you chose two images of similar subject, yet different, contributed to this working out. The overall mood and effect you've created works great. |
