A lovely image, Barbara, but I'll take the contrarian position and say I like the original blue stripes, the blue and gold of the egg are complimentary colors. Rather it is the red of the nail polish that it is a bit of a distraction, but only a bit. Having everything color coordinated is a bit too neat, removes the tension, and results in a less interesting image. |

Thank you, Emil, I like your version very much! The umbrellas definitely stand out more.
I'm glad I included the original as both you and Gary have expanded my version, appreciated! |

This is quite nice, Gary! The sky feels even more natural, yet mysterious, and I love the swirling storm cloud feel to it. It compliments the spookiness of the trees. I knew this image had lots of potential! |

Thank you, Emil. Yes, I like this one better too, it feels more natural with the tonalities evoking clouds, and the texture is no longer distracting but complimentary. |

I'm a tree fan, too, Emil!
I like this one very much, see all kinds of potential in the original, for taking in more creative directions, as you did. I like the way your treatment of the trees shows different layers in the image. I have a harder time with the sky I think I'm wanting to see as painterly, but it's showing as more texture, if that makes sense. I'm not sure that part comes together for me, but overall I like the idea, and it's interesting to ponder. |

The escalators make nice leading lines, and you have interesting architecture on top would good contrast, all making for an interesting image Palli. A couple of minor points: the escalators feel a little "soft" to me, maybe it's the focal point being up on top. Also, I'm one of those distracted by readable text in an image. The first two places my eye went were "David" and "kids". But overall it's very nice Palli. |

The mostly leafless trees make this a little different from most IR images, Gary, but its subtlety still works very well. I particularly like the partially veiled clouds behind the trees, and the overall mood. |

I like the curve in the composition also, Charles, but tend to agree with Gary, that your version feels a little soft. I like Gary's idea, except that I think in his, the vignette becomes too prominent. But I think a touch more contrast would help. |

Thanks, Gary. I did struggle with the crop on this, and knew I could count on the group to offer suggestions. I like yours! |

An image with lots of mood, Arik. I love what appears to be a little bit of fog, and the reflection. The subtle tones of color also work very well.
I'm not sure about the prominent, triangular shaped log in the middle of the scene. To me, it's distracting, especially given the calm mood of the scene. Some might find it adds some tension; I look forward to others comments on this. Aside from this one element, I find it an very engaging and compelling image. |

I very much like the version you have posted, with the second building, Melanie. As Arik says, it adds balance. I also like the high contrast. It's an image with strong impact.
Was it a low light scene? That might explain the high auto iso. I have found that useful for low light scenes with motion like indoor markets, etc. |

It's hard to go wrong when you have light as nice as this, it's beautiful. The shell makes the composition work, and I like how you placed it. |

I second Phill's comments, Pat, nice transformation. I especially like the rotation you did, and the way the shadows mimics the curve. Nice processing all around. |

I'm not brave enough to take closeups with my iphone, Ruth, even though this is definitely the time of year for it! Yours is sharp throughout, very nice, and I like the secondary bud, too. |

It's amazing what can be accomplished with an every day scene, given the tools and a little creativity! I enjoy the patterns, symmetry, and bold colors Phill. |

I was so enthralled with the drops, and the way the composite all comes together, that I didn't even notice the man in the moon, until reading Phill's comment. Very cool! My only nitpick would be that the umbrella has lost enough detail such that it's not recognizable as such, at first, but that may be just me. |

I second Phill's comments here; really nice background pattern, and creative that it's vertical. The flower itself does look not quite sharp, perhaps too close to the camera. |
