Thanks for sharing your version, Emil, enjoyed it. There are so many possibilities. This closer version shows more detail. |

I don't usually do edits, but here goes. I agree with you Melanie about the water reflection.

It's an interesting bridge, Emil. I find the darker tone of the original version, works better for me, as it accentuates the shape of this unique bridge against the lighter sky. You might try a darker version.
It may be a minor point, but the little structure under the bridge is positioned in the sweet spot of the image, the eye goes right there, and unfortunately it doesn't have much to offer. It would have been nice to have a boat instead, but as is, I might consider cloning it out, would be interested to see what others think. |

Thanks Gary, and I do like what you've accomplished with the sky! |

Good job on this, Palli. I like the simplicity, the way you've off-centered the lighthouse, the blue tint, and especially the texture in the water at the bottom. It all comes together very nicely. I have no suggestions for improvement. |

I really like the processing on this Gary, and the surreal feel of it, the way you've set up the back lit flower, very nice. For me, there's a lot of tension created by the way you've presented the sky. Not necessarily a bad thing, I'm just struggling with it. As in, it's a sky, that I can't be sure is a sky. I'll be interested in the others' comments on this. I think maybe I'd like to see a little more going down the stalk of the flower, and a little less of the sky. |

Very nicely laid out, Charles! The eye is led right down the bog. I particularly like the foliage on the water, and the uniformity of the trees bordering on each side. The sky, while nice, doesn't quite cooperate, for me, with the separate light and dark areas. I mention it because in the original, there are some light clouds on top, more evidence of an overall pattern than in your edit. And I'm not sure about the tree trunk at left, but will be paying attention to the others' comments as I ponder that. |

What an interesting looking tree, Melanie, and that takes me to the nice reflection, and then the little bird. It does convey the serene mood you were after. That said, I'm thinking I'd like the sky punched up a bit. I've got a feeling Gary will provide an example. But too much, and it will overpower the tree and the mood, of course. It has kind of a lazy mid-day feel, which is nice. |

Your edit really makes the green pop in this, Pat. It's a nice rendition of the coming spring. I think I actually prefer it with the little brown base at the bottom cropped out, would be curious to see what others think. |

It's a beautiful building, kieu Hanh, but what really makes the image for me is the reflection of the buildings in the background. I'm glad you left that in. Overall, an interesting travel image nicely presented. |

I would echo Phillipa's comments here, Marilyn. I really like the colors in the original. It's interesting to see the black and white edit, but I think in the case going all in on the black and white might have worked better than the selective color. It's certainly an interesting butterfly! |

I love the symmetry in this, Belinda, and on seeing the original, I'd say congrats on seeing this image within the larger image. It does feel as if it leans right a bit, but that's not a deal breaker for me. Nicely seen and well done! |

Thanks Phillipa I hadn't noticed but now I see the sky is a touch overdone. I will have a look at the tutorials. |
