Thanks Sharon, I'm a bit of a purist, so yes that's the true sky ;)
The little bit of dry scrub is meant as the point of interest, but I understand it's quite minimal, and this image might be in need of something more to hold the viewers interest. Thanks all for the comments! |

This is a celebration of busy-ness, Jen! A little busy can be difficult, but this is quite enjoyable, led by the artwork on the jeep. The background then adds context, and I like that you've kept that sharp too. It's a great travel image. The only thing I would change would be cropping out the wires on top. A less easy improvement might be to remove at least the center pole. But I still like it very much as is. |

It's a beautifully composed and presented nature image, Don. I love the black beaks, and might make the feet a little darker also. I agree with Ed's point, about it being a little tight overall, but it's not a deal-breaker, if you don't have a wider crop. |

Good catch, Sharon. I agree with the others, that offsetting the birds somewhat would help. I feel the vignette is a bit too heavy, too much...would prefer a tighter crop, and then a smaller vignette. |

Nice journalistic shot Ed. Often when we see images of demonstrations, they are of people on a street with signs, and not much other context. Here, we have the store front, with signs in English and Spanish, adding a whole other element to this. |

I agree with the other comments, John. The effect is really nice, the sense of fog, works quite well. |

It's a beautiful forest, Emil, and I particularly like the moss on the rocks, and the overall peaceful mood created. Because the stream goes across the image, as opposed to into the image, I think it works better as a framing element for the forest, and I might suggest cropping out the rocks on the very bottom, which are out of focus. Otherwise, I think it works very well. |

I like the sepia tone, Palli. I'm intrigued by the background trees. I think when taking pictures of the art of others', it's nice to put our own personal touches or perspective to make it unique, and in this case, I might have included more of the background, if it was interesting. I do like the slight angle from which you took the image, and think it works very well overall. |

Great composition, Gary, not just for the use of foreground, but for the way you've set up such that the building itself goes back the other direction, the result is just a wonder depth to this. I agree about the bicycle rack. Very nice. |

Welcome to the group, Charles!
You've put a lot of work into this, and it shows!
When I did my IR sensor conversion, I stayed away from any color. But this image really shows what beautiful work can be done going in that direction, too. I love the simplicity of the composition, the shade of the tree, the implement, and the second little group of trees in the distance. The processing is successful in bringing out the Impressionist feel you were after. I have no suggestions for improvement. |

I would also be curious as to what your goals were in using five images and going through the various programs. It does have a strong sense of mood, almost forboding, which is quite interesting and works well with the subject matter. I like the way the truck door is open, but wish I could see more of the building to the right of it. |

I like the way you've composed this, Melanie, with the trees framing the image, and the three waterfalls perfectly placed. The only suggestion I might have, would be have you tried a horizontal flip, so that it flows from left to right instead? |
