Thank you Kristi - you have caught my intent. As I mentioned to Albert it was all to provide context and focus on the people involved. Perhaps it would benefit from being less busy, but then the loss of the over all context … |

Thank you for your input Albert. In many respects I agree and will look into making some changes for future use.
I will say that my choice to leave all of the detail in the image (including the IV) was to provide a sense of context for what was happening. The care giver was providing help for him that the Nursing Home staff was not giving to him. |

I love the concept. It is one I would not have thought of myself. I would have been more focused on the other elements such as the eyes. It shows how much we can all learn from others who have a different concept or imagination for an image.
I will say that my first impression was of scales such as a snake or similar lizard. I would not have guessed at a croc. Still after reading what you wrote - I can see it.
The manner in which you processed the image for tonality, clarity, etc was, to my eye, excellent and brought out the best of the texture and detail of the skin.
Thanks very much for the image and for the ideas for some future images of my own. |

This is a very nice story about change. While on one level I would love to see old buildings like this one refurbished and returned to usefulness, at the same time things do get old and we need to let go. A question in my mind - if they had chosen to save the building - what would it have become? Where I live a lot of the old Mill factories have been transformed into condominiums. Could they have done that?
It is clear from you image that the later is the case here. This also leaves me a question: With what will they replace the building? Will it be another factory, or houses, or stores, or a park?
It is images like this I enjoy seeing and considering - something to chew on so to speak.
I great story - thanks for sharing it with us. |
