It is a very interesting image to me. In and of itself the field and the soccer goals are okay. What, to my eye. makes this image so dynamic is the sky making it, to me, a very strong image.
I really have no suggestions for improvement. It is a very nice image to me, thank you for sharing it with us. |

A wonderful street scene. I like the way you changed the outline of the scene to be as though one is seeing the scene through a doorway. I also very much like the sepia toning of the image giving the appearance of an old photography.
The one suggestion I have would be to lighten the shadows in the image. That I think, would give more detail and visual information about the people in the image.
A very nice image, thank you for sharing it with us. |

This is a wonderful image of the duck and ducklings. The technical aspects of the image are (as I look at the image) well done. I particularly like the texture of the feathers and also of the water. The reflections in the water, especially of the mother duck add power to the image as I see it. As I study the image I find I am not too bothered by the last in line of the ducklings being too close to the left side.
Thank you for sharing this image with us. |

Hi Adrian. I like the image. I think your processing, to my way of thinking worked very nicely. I am going to guess that the problem in the competition (that does not occur in the color version) is the tonality of the stream. Lacking the color, it is too close to the tonality of the surrounding meadow and could be missed too easily, especially with only short time to view and evaluate it.
For my part I like what you have done and I appreciate your sharing it with us. |

Thanks for your comment Jack. I chose to deliberately use a heavy vignette because I wanted to bring the central point of interest to the young lady taking the selfie. I found the background, as taken, to be too confusing and distracting. However you also made a very good comment about the pj aspect, and had it been only a PJ image, the vignette would have been very wrong. |

Hi John, this scene reminded my of the scene I saw many times living in Southern California when I went out on the Seal Beach Pier (I also remember the smell :-)). I like it as a photo journalistic photograph, a really nice slice of life. Nicely done.
Thank you for sharing it with us. |

I find the texture and the patterns, both physical and shading, in the sand interesting. To my eye the technical appearance was excellent with very good detail, tonality and focus. To my eye it is a good study in pattern and texture.
I really have no suggestions for improvement or changes. Thank you for sharing it with us. |
