Bill, I agree with Erik. By now you must have quite a collection of images from many of the buildings in Detroit and should result in a nice table top book. I like the symmetry created by the slight crop gary did, and sharpness of the image. It seems to me that our big boys toys are going to stay home.... |

Gary, this building is an architecture masterpiece. I have seen many images of it and from different angles, changed to high contrast B&W with a very much impact results. I like your composed image, and of course the other iterations. |

Ian, the colorful forest in autumn colors is getting ready to engulf the walking people. I like the tunnel formation. Beautiful illumination with light strikes across the bottom. Image is sharp and nicely composed. |

Erik, we were together that morning, and we had a great light with nice reflection of the rocky structures in the water at low tide. The retrieval of the water after high tide create those diagrams in the sand. We met a Scottish photographer (you can see him at the upper right intersection of the rule of thirds, he is with his tripod). I do not mind the amount of foreground since it really frames the sand forming an interesting triangle. |

Vella, interesting vantage point and non conventional angle, which makes it more attractive. It is sharp. Yes, the balloons work as leading lines towards the circular structure in the roof, and open to the vast sky with clouds.
When we travel, we create tourist photos. |

Guy, here the limit is your imagination. You can create many critters out of this abnormality in the tree. It is like scar tissue after a wound, or just a malignant growth on the trunk. Thanks for showing the whole tree to put things in context. Sharp. |

Vivek, sometimes not all of what we see will end up as a good image. The Hornbill was in an unfavorable place and strong brightness in the background, therefore the result with lots of distracting and obstructing branches. Very hard to eliminate them. |

Gloria, this must be a very particular variety of the cormorants found only in the Galapagos Island. This turquoise eye color happens when they are in reproductive mode during the matting season to attract the female. Interesting as how the plumage colors camouflages with the environment. |

Gerhard, perfect timing at peak of action. Image very sharp and beautiful colors. I like as how the arriving bird frames the standing one with the wings. There is a halo around both birds consequence of over sharpening. I have used this method to correct them: https://www.capturelandscapes.com/how-to-quickly-fix-edge-halos-in-photoshop/ |

Sarita, sometime the food pyramid creates some non pleasant situation as this one. I have seen the seagulls stealing the skimmers chicks since they create their nests at ground level digging slightly into the sand, and the chicks are curious and hungry so the run out and get exposed. The action in this image is priceless, but unfortunately it is back ligthed which makes it loose detail and contrast. |

Maxim, this image is on the high key spectrum of light. I like the fact that we can not see the lady's face and it becomes a mystery a makes you curious as what it would look like. The image is sharp. |

Michele, it really looks like the weather was cold. The lady. I like her laid back attitude since there is no other choice but to wait for the customers in a very competitive market. The dark background is not distracting. |

Bruce, I like the face language of the man looking at his companion and of course the happy faces of the giants in the back. Image is sharp, and the colors are very vivid. The crop is appropriate to remove distracting areas. |

Maria, great result. I guess that the fly collaborated for the portrait because it was early in the day and was still covered with the cold dew. The mosca itself is completely sharp, but I think that you had to extend the reach of the multiple exposures to cover more of the plant leaves, since being blurred creates some distraction. I did add some light to the fly to see more detail. |

Richard, Costa Rica is a bird's photographers paradise. A lot of hummingbirds varieties. The image is sharp with frozen wings (1/4000 sec). Sometimes there is debate as whether or not a slight wing blur has to show to denote the real fast flapping of the wings to be able to hover. The colors are well treated and the image is sharp with a non distracting background. I believe there is too much empty space which takes away prevalence on the bird. This is my take about the crop. |

Maria, being the King of the Jungle - Africa has its cost. The wound most of the times are created when they are hunting specially horned animals, or when defending its alfa position in the wild. Here he has a calm body position. Good colors. Sharp. |
