Vella, interesting B&W interpretation which really give character to the image. I agree with Ian about the looks of the original. The central corridor takes us to the end of the room and being able to appreciate the wood barrels. Image is sharp. |

Ian, I really do not have anything to add to what has been said. Indeed a superb image. Obviously the manually created Orton effect created this soft and beautiful effect. The colors are outstanding. |

Erik, great image of the "torcedores" (twisters in Spanish which is the technique to create a cigar and a term created in Cuba). I am sure than most if not all of the workers are originally from that Island. I agree with Gary that the man with the cigar in his mouth which seems to be looking at you, is the central point, and I like Bill's crop. Image is sharp with a slight soft are in the woman at the left (my left) lower corner. |

Bill, to photograph the Palouse it is a great experience and a lot of opportunities. I was there 10 years ago with Tim Gray's workshop, and we did photograph the same barn. I went back to my files and looked for an image that would be close to your vantage point, and here it is. As you can see, the structure has imploded further. I lke very much your PP. Mine is also and HDR of three images PP in LightRoom Classic |

Guy, it really puzzles me as why the USA gave a copy of the Statue of Liberty back to France, when they were the ons giving it to the USA ?? Anyways, I tend to agree with bill's PP> Image is sharp. |

Vivek, for me it is the first time that I see one of this species. Very colorful, in action. Image is sharp. Great non distracting background. |

Grace, the Galapagos penguins are smaller than the Antartica ones. This guy definitively shows that he is debating whether to jump or not. Being the rock also dark takes away some of the details of the feet and lower plumage. The image is sharp. |

Sarita, great image, peak of action, very sharp and beautiful colors. The crop is too tight. If you cropped some of the real state, I would reconsider. |

Doug, Ted and Tom have said pretty much everything about this image. Yes, the eagles mate for life. Here the image is very sharp and there is complete separation between them. The flying eagle frames the other with the wings. I sense a little to much sharpening probably needed because the magnification the image was created: 1839 mm |

Gloria, good capture. This is probably the result of a major crop, therefore it has lost detail in the feathers of the head and neck. It is an impressive colony indeed. it is nice when the capture shows interaction between the birds. |

Gerhard, you are very lucky to be able to get so close to the King Fishers and fill the frame with maximum resolution and detail, the same as the image that you presented to us back in may 2025. The image is very sharp, with lots of detail. I agree with Doug, for a bird image to be successful it has to show some action. |

Bev, you captured the man in peak of action before he completed the swing. I agree with Michele that the image is oversaturated and perhaps oversharpened which in actuality distorts the details |

Bruce, yes indeed they are sharing the ice cream. I do share with my wife, children and grandchildren. I like the way they are standing together in close proximity, and still enjoying the performance. They are sharp and the background is well managed and not distracting. |

Michele, great 'new culture' selfie image. I like the expression of the girl holding the phone, and the hand sign of the second. Beautiful attire's and they are sharp. I understand that this is a real street photo, but now I have a couple of questions for you: why did you amputate both the girls, and the statue behind them ? Was it on purpose to create tension ?
and why you did not make the verticals and horizontals straight ?? |

Gerald, I must agree with the rest. Technically it is a perfect image. Perhaps the future cameras incorporating AI would flip the subject in camera. Sharp image. |

Andre, I understand that you create this type of images with a preconceived idea and size ratio for a particular purpose, so I am not going to suggest any specific changes. Of course, we can not replicate them. |

Ronald, the problem with these judges is that they are evaluating your image against their knowledge. If they do not understand the image because they can not create one like that, it kills it immediately. The images are supposed to be evaluated for what they show, not on what the judge wants to see. |

Bruce, you did it again. I like the face expression of the player with both feet off the ground. His torso looks like he is very tall. Perfect background. |

Adrian, Yellowstone is a great place for photography all year round. I have been there all but summer seasons (too many people) and you get different looks from the same places. This area of Mammoth is most impressive in the winter |

Richard, good capture, peak of action. Fish and beak very sharp, not so much the plumage of its torso. Good background. Since your crop is tight, I made it even tighter just keeping the center of attention of the image. |

Karen, agree with his grumpy face. Something looks unusual to me that it looks like he has his tail wrapped around his head framing him. Lots of detail in spite of the big crop. |
