4 Sep 25 Comment Vella, interesting image as I said back in December 202 when you submitted it. I guess the comments then are still valid

4 Sep 25 Comment Ian, perfect pose, great colors, sharp and her smile is the cherry on top o the cream, and yes, you have plenty of red on this image. Sep 8th
4 Sep 25 Comment Erik, the Reddish Egret is my favorite bird to photograph in Florida. In fact, I was there at that pond with you a few years back and got quite a few images of them (2 of them) fishing. I have 2 comments to make: agree with Gary's note that this image may be considered as a "but Shot", and I think the band of ground in the lower border is very distracting not shown in your original to illustrate the way they fish. Sep 8th
4 Sep 25 Comment Guy, we just came back from Ireland, but we limited out stay to Dublin only. I like the way you achieved the silky look on the water without overexposing. Nice composition. Sep 8th
4 Sep 25 Reply Gary, perhaps you meant "To my eye", unless age has something to do..... (Just kidding !!) Sep 8th
4 Sep 25 Comment Gary, very nice high key/sepia toned image. It gives to it a timeless feel. Indeed once you get out of the big city into the backroads, the photographic opportunities grow exponentially. The image is sharp. Sep 8th

15 Sep 25 Reply Doug, interesting effect. It really looks like panning. Sep 16th
15 Sep 25 Comment Grace, great capture of a BIF. The first thing the Osprey does once it catches a fish is to park somewhere and rip off the head, which was already done here. The image is sharp but it lacks contrast. The light is harsh therefore the intense shadow. I adjusted the contrast and cropped it additionally to remove some of the empty space, and still leaving enough space in the front so the bird can fly into. Sep 8th
15 Sep 25 Comment Doug, the Quetzal is in every bird watcher or photographer' wish list. I visited the same farm in Costa Rica a couple of years ago. Did get the bird on the tree but not eating the avocado as you did. We waited for a long time, the birds never took off. Do you have a little more real state below to show the whole tail ?? Image is sharp, and it is great that you have both the male and the female on the same frame. Sep 8th
15 Sep 25 Comment Gloria, I second Doug. I was at the Galapagos Island, did photograph the Albatross but never on the nest with egg(s). Great catch. I think the crop is too tight specially in the front of the bird and bello, amputating the nest. Here, more is better. Image is sharp. Perhaps getting lower you get a better perspective. Sep 8th
15 Sep 25 Comment Gerhard, it is very unusual to photograph a spoonbill with the big fish in the beak. They usually fish with a side by side movement of the neck and like a vacuum cleaner with the beak deep in the water. I have never seen this. Image is sharp. Sep 8th
15 Sep 25 Reply Doug, the African Spoonbills are white Sep 8th
15 Sep 25 Reply Doug, no vignette added. It was a very foggy morning Sep 1st

58 Sep 25 Comment Bruce, great image at peak of action. The face expression of the player says it all. Obviously, the attendant could not care less of what is going on. Image well illuminated and sharp Sep 28th
58 Sep 25 Comment Pinaki, very interesting mural. The presence of people makes it a street scene and not only somebody else's art on the wall. Nice colors. Image is sharp. Interesting high vantage point. Sep 8th
58 Sep 25 Comment Bev, to me it looks more like an interpreter in one of the Renaissance Festivals, perhaps an Irish guitar player. It is unfortunate that the kid in the lower corner is almost completely amputated. Nice colors, and the player is looking away from the camera. Did not engage with you. Sep 3rd

59 Sep 25 Comment Don, Agree with Ronald and Gerry's comments. Good action image at peak. Sep 28th
59 Sep 25 Reply Gerald, it was good to see you in Portland, and congratulations for your "best of" image. The participants would jump over the strong horse until it collapses by the weight... and the the team switches. Sep 28th
59 Sep 25 Comment Gerry, great action image. Very sharp and with lots of speed with the dirt in the air. I think the crop is tight in the front legs of the horse. In the Homestead Rodeo, not always the direction of the turns is predictable, and the "Rodeo Police" is all the time pushing us away from the fence. Oh Well.. Sep 8th
59 Sep 25 Comment Ronald, perfect non planned timing. One of thos once in a lifetime capture. We need the next frame to answer the question. Sep 8th
59 Sep 25 Comment Bruce, it keeps getting better. Your bottom less collection of images keeps impressing me. Sharp. Great composition. Sep 8th
59 Sep 25 Comment Andre, a masterpiece. It takes in addition to try and error, extreme skills. You have to know what you are doing. Sep 8th

72 Sep 25 Comment Maria. the Monarch Butterfly is just fascinating, specially with respect to their migration to Mexico. Your image is very sharp including the flower in spite the f/4.5 and 200 mm. To my eyes, there is too much flower overpowering the butterfly which should be the main actor. This is my interpretation for a crop. Sep 15th
72 Sep 25 Reply Richard, the conservationist are everywhere.... Sep 15th
72 Sep 25 Comment Karen, good environment image. Good body language of the bird in focus. The other birds out of focus adds interest. Sep 15th
72 Sep 25 Reply Adrian, good option Sep 15th
72 Sep 25 Comment Richard, good crop emphasizing the interesting element in this image which is the bird with the caught fish. The long neck is the perfect leading line towards he fish. Image is sharp, and the colors are vivid. I like the movement in the water with the multiple colors palette. Sep 8th
72 Sep 25 Comment Maria, indeed you have a very steady pulse. To get this type of sharpness with a macro lens and so close and using only 1/100 sec is remarkable. Very interesting critter. Some purist may say (not me) that the blurred foreground is distracting and bring up to use a tripod and focus stacking. Oh well ... Sep 8th
72 Sep 25 Comment Adrian, nice conversation of the three King Penguins with the Gentoo. Interesting that the ground is dry and with vegetation (time of the year ??). Image is sharp. Nice composition.
We visited The Falkland Islands back in 2013 on our cruise to Antarctica. The weather was far from nice as you had it.

72 Sep 25 Comment Bruce, this high key minimalistic image is another winner. The color of the fox stands out against the white of the snow. Image is sharp. The presence of the little bush brings the image up a notch. Sep 8th
72 Sep 25 Reply It is a fruit that looks like a hairy lychee called Rambutan Sep 2nd
