Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
4 Aug 25 Comment Ian, agree with all the comments. Nothing to add Aug 22nd
4 Aug 25 Comment Erik, super sharp. Perhaps a tighter crop will emphasize the critter Aug 22nd
4 Aug 25 Reply Indeed, it keeps our attention on the bumblebee Aug 22nd
4 Aug 25 Comment Guy, this is my interpretation to the discussion Aug 22nd
4 Aug 25 Comment Bill, it is obvious that forgetting to reset some settings pays off. Here you have a very sharp Kermit all the way, with a blurred non distracting background. Well done Aug 1st
4 Aug 25 Comment Gary, you nailed it. Obviously the apparatus is going at a very fast speed, and your panning was fast enough to obtain a section of the image clear enough that you can describe the persons. Panning is tough and the success rate is very low. The only way, keep shooting. Aug 1st

7 Aug 25 Reply Butch, Doctor is too formal for this venue. I always tour the DD groups and stop on what catches my eyes, and this image did !! Aug 3rd
7 Aug 25 Comment Butch, WOW indeed. This is the result of good planning and knowing the technology, and of course knowingn where to shoot.
There is plenty of impact here. Sharp and with the mouth open. Not to criticize, I have seen pictures of the bats with the tongue touching the water. keep on shooting !!

15 Aug 25 Comment Gloria, perfect image of a bird (s) in their environment. Grace's tweaks improved the image. Aug 22nd
15 Aug 25 Comment Gerhard, the anhingas are master harpooners. The best part is seeing them releasing the fish, throwing up in the air, and swallow it in one gulp. Aug 17th
15 Aug 25 Comment Doug, great shot. Sharp and colorful. The hummer is nicely framed by the flowers. Beak inside the flower is a plus. Aug 17th
15 Aug 25 Comment Sarita, great iconic shot of the Puffins with the fishes in the mount and upped a notch since it is flying. Well done Aug 17th
15 Aug 25 Comment Grace, I agree with Doug about the very tight crop. The ideal crop is wah you show us in the Original Aug 17th

58 Aug 25 Comment Kathleen, this is my interpretation for the image. I kept the light pole for its characteristics complementing the building. Aug 22nd
58 Aug 25 Comment Pinaki, the woman is really deeply concentrated in her music given by her face expression. Sharp, nice colors and a good background Aug 22nd
58 Aug 25 Comment Ed, obviously not an easy access Aug 17th
58 Aug 25 Comment Bruce, these street vendors, mainly from Africa sell counterfeit merchandise, and they have developed an interesting system to pack very quick to avoid the police as you describe them. I also saw them in Madrid a few years ago. Aug 17th
58 Aug 25 Comment Bev, it is always a lot of fun and of course offers many opportunities to photograph the Street Painting event in Lake Worth Main Street Down Town. Each participant is allocated a section of the street and they have 2 days to finish their project. I have gone many times, and you can see some of my images in this group 58 at March 2020, August 2023 and March 2025, and if you visit Group 4, December 2024. I like to use a bird's eye vantage point and it is explained in each instance.
Your image is very colorful, and sharp. Because of the strong shadow it was late morning or early afternoon. Well done

59 Aug 25 Comment Don, I agree with what has been said. I am guessing that there is no additional real state above the ball. It creates some tension right there, which is not undesirable since it is a moving object. Aug 24th
59 Aug 25 Comment Gerald, great image at peak of action. Sharp. Nothing else to add Aug 24th
59 Aug 25 Comment Bruce, I personally like the whole image. Peak of action for sure. Ronald's comments always illuminates me about things I am not completely aware about the sport. Just as an unrelated comment, it looks to me that the player in blue (N 27) had major right knee surgery. Aug 24th
59 Aug 25 Comment Ronald, this image is different to the scrum I submitted previously indeed. The popping head makes the image. Agree with Bruce's comment about the the other face. Perhaps a little crop from the top takes away some of the empty space. Aug 24th
59 Aug 25 Comment Andre, this is another jaw dropping image. Nothing to add Aug 24th
59 Aug 25 Reply Ronald, thank you for your recommendation Aug 6th

72 Aug 25 Reply Adrian, this is the information I found with respect the difference in the beak colors: King penguins have distinctive beak colors, primarily featuring orange blotches on the lower part of their beaks. These colors are important for mate selection, as penguins can see ultraviolet light, making the beak spots appear more vibrant to them than to humans. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Comment Adrian, great image. Bruce's crop is too tight. This is my interpretation of the image. Now we have an odd number of flowers which improves the composition. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Comment Maria, great detail after the magnum crop. This is my interpretation of the image with a tighter crop, and decreasing the brightness of the petal in the left (my left) upper corner since it is overpowering the bee which now stands up better. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Comment Richard, great catch. Unfortunately @ 600 mm with f/5.6 there is not enough DOF therefore the adult is soft. Agree with the square crop since there is too much of empty space. Now the bird stand out better and have enough space to move into. Also made the horizon straight. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Comment Karen, I have seer seen this spider in real life. It always amazed me about the details of the "multiple eyes". You did a great job, still keeping enough resolution with details after this magnum crop. I turned the image 90 degrees and it works for me. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Comment Maria, great mage. Sharp. Beautiful colors. I agree with a tighter crop. This is my interpretation. You still have enough of the environment and makes the butterflies stand out better. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Comment Bruce, I just came back from a cruise through the North Atlantic. We were lucky to see a large group of killer whales (orcas) as well. I will share the image some other time. This is my interpretation to the image. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Reply Richard, it is in the description: "They feed of small fish, squid and krill which you can see in the ground where they are standing." Aug 1st
