Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
4 Jun 25 Comment Erik, nice triangular composition. The variation in the colors of the parachutes adds interest to the image. My only observation is that the divers in the back are so small in the frame that it is difficult to appreciate. Nice non distracting sky. Jun 8th
4 Jun 25 Comment Vella, good catch of this variety of cormorant in flight. The bird is sharp and the under white surface is not overexposed. My only suggestion is to give a little more space at the front of the bird so it can fly into. Jun 8th
4 Jun 25 Comment Guy, indeed one of the iconic buildings in Budapest. I have the same building but photographed from the other bank of the river and at night and from the opposite angle. You were able to include the whole building in the frame. It is sharp, and the soft shadows give depth to the image. Jun 8th
4 Jun 25 Comment Bill, the image is sharp. The front wall wrapping around the garden, and the small separation you left on the left (my left) edge is a perfect leading line taking us to the the beauty of the whole house in very good maintenance conditions. Sharp. Jun 8th
4 Jun 25 Comment Gary, grandchildren overrides everything else. Indeed you had a great time. God bless him to become a handsome young man. My "adjustments" tells it all !! Jun 3rd

15 Jun 25 Reply Jerry, those are black feathers... Jun 11th
15 Jun 25 Comment Kathy, this is a nice image of a colorful "Paloma", but the bird is just sitting there doing nothing. For a Bird image be more interesting, it has to be doing something. Look at the rest of the images in our group this month, and all are doing something. The image is sharp, and the background not distracting. Jun 8th
15 Jun 25 Comment Grace, nice high key image and the bird is flapping its wings, perhaps just landing or getting ready to take off. Either way, this adds interest to the image and brings the score up a notch, compared with the bird just sitting there. The crop is perhaps a little tight on the top since the tip of the wing is almost touching the frame. Jun 8th
15 Jun 25 Comment Jerry, this month we both were on the same page selecting sandhill cranes in flight, also in Bosque del Apache. The image is sharp with the added detail that the bird is flying towards you, and it is in focus front to back. Horizon line not in the middle of the frame, and nicely blurred, not distracting. Jun 8th
15 Jun 25 Comment Gloria, great capture of the brown pelican in flight. Image is sharp. Background non distracting. I reduced the brightness on the bird to bring out more color and detail. Jun 8th
15 Jun 25 Comment Gerhard, great capture at peak of action. The family is omnivorous, feeding on fruit and small animals. They are monogamous breeders nesting in natural cavities in trees and sometimes cliffs. The image is sharp, and the colors are nicely managed. Jun 8th
15 Jun 25 Comment Sarita, male cardinals often engage in a behavior called courtship feeding, where they feed seeds to female cardinals. This behavior helps strengthen their bond and ensures the female gets enough nutrition while nesting. This image is a perfect example of this behavior. Very sharp, and vivid colors. Perfect moment. 21 Jun 25 Comment Tom, to me looks like you inverted the image making into a Black and white negative but preserving the white on the feathers ??. Interesting effect indeed. Jun 8th

58 Jun 25 Comment Bev, this image depicts what is considered the new normal, people do not talk to each other and get immersed into the intelligent handheld computers, and in this case, a camera. Each one is minding their own business. The light is very harsh creating very strong shadows. Great grand and grand children overrides everything else. Jun 12th
58 Jun 25 Comment Bruce, ghese people know each other. It is a warm interaction. The colors are great and the image is sharp Jun 12th
58 Jun 25 Reply The color version tell he story better Jun 12th
58 Jun 25 Reply Bruce, agree with the crop, but the image is now too dark Jun 12th
58 Jun 25 Comment Kathleen, I am still debating what is more interesting the shoes or the car which is overpowering due to its large size compared. Both the legs and the car are amputated. I agree with you about the plethora of straight and curved lines including the shoes. To me this image is more interesting using a tighter crop. Jun 8th
58 Jun 25 Comment Ed, it does not look like an easy job. The "Maestro" title is not given easily. It requires a lot of years of dedication, knowledge and hard work. It is a good rendition of a film image/ I just wonder what it would look like in the original color. Here the man and the drill gets lost into the rocky background. Jun 8th
58 Jun 25 Comment Pinaki, nice street scene. The restaurant is so illuminated that reflects its orange light to the street and passing by pedestrians. The image is sharp. Jun 8th

59 Jun 25 Comment Don, peak of action. the adrenalin rush for winning. The image looks a little bright in some areas, perhaps overexposed. I would leave more space in front of the runners. It looks tight. Jun 13th
59 Jun 25 Comment Gerald, indeed the Japanese culture is a lot different. I am surprised that they were playing baseball even before 1926 when the stadium was built. It is a record image of a different moment in a baseball game. Jun 8th
59 Jun 25 Comment Andre, obviously you trust the skater. This image has great impact and it is very unconventional (like most or all of your images). Sharp. Jun 8th
59 Jun 25 Comment Ronald, indeed the jumping player makes the image. Again the non ice hockey is not played in the USA. I am only familiar with the ice hockey. Odd number of players in the frame (7). Image is sharp. Jun 8th

This option never crossed my mind.

72 Jun 25 Reply Bruce, I felt that the bird with the iguana's skin is more "unusual", and still telling the story of the Iguanas presence. Jun 15th
72 Jun 25 Comment Adrian, we only were able to see a mini migration, but nothing like this image. Great impact. I tend to like better the cropped color version. The image is sharp. The dust in the air denotes heavy animal traffic. Jun 15th
72 Jun 25 Comment Karen, nice image of the rsting young giraffe. The giraffe is very sharp, but the ground and background, the colors are washed out, plus the fact that there is too much empty space that is not adding to the main subject, but only taking away prominence. Using the adjustment masks and cropping tighter gave me this result. Jun 15th
72 Jun 25 Comment Maria, around us we get the Glossy Ibis, but I have never seen this variety (Everglades National Park and other Wetlands in South Florida). It looks that has very pretty colors. The behavior and eating habits of the Ibises is the same. They are wading birds that require shallow waters to feed. Jun 15th
72 Jun 25 Comment Richard, you captured the chickadee at peak of action flying out the hole/nest being build on the tree trunk, Nice background. Sharp. Jun 13th
72 Jun 25 Comment Bruce, we were in Katmai but did not go to Brooks fall. Reservations to photograph at the waterfall the bears catching salmon is about two years in advance from what I was told. The image has a lot of impact and the award was well deserved. Jun 13th
72 Jun 25 Comment Maria, good macro rendition of the bumblebee. It is sharp with a nice non distracting background. I agree with Bruce that should be more exposed. Jun 13th
72 Jun 25 Reply The zebras always go along the wildebeest for protection. Jun 13th
72 Jun 25 Reply Richard, the "Original" is not the actual image of the Main. It is just another image to complement the story of the good relationship of the Marine Iguanas and the Mockingbirds. Jun 3rd
