Guy, it amazes me as how the expertise of the clock makers of the time created these precision machines. Couple of details: 4 in Roman Numerals normally is IV, here is IIII, and the section for the date in the month took quite some work to include up to number 31. Image is sharp. |

Ian, shot at peak of action. Sharp. Interesting as how the shoes are not part of the cultural outfit. All different. About the observers in the background implies it is something happening in real time. Either option:darkening or blurring is something to consider. |

Gary, peak of action. Perhaps reducing the brightness in the Egret's body you may get a little more detail in the feathers. They look slightly soft. Could be the combination with the extender which always degrades the image slightly. Nice reflection. |

Erik, after reading Bill email of what AI can do, not much can be said, exept that I wish i was there. Normally the images going around of the Canyon are with much brighter light and the clear areas of the hoodoos look overexposed. Not here. Sharp |

Bill, great result of oil drops on water with a rainbow background and well illuminated. Each drop acts a a camera lens with an inverted image (Original pin hole camera boxes). Sharp and colorful. |

Vella, yes the bluish is consequence of the selection done trying to darken the background. Not an easy task even with the new masking brushes in Adobe (LightRoom and CC) |

Grace, beautiful bird indeed with brilliant colors. We do not see them here in south Florida. The white plumage is slightly soft. Could be because the 2x extender. I agree with an even tighter crop and a touch of flip. |

Kathy, indeed the Alligator Farm in St Augustin Florida is a photographers paradise specially during matting season (now) and when there is a lot of activity of nests building, eggs hatching and feeding the chicks. Also at this time they have the photographer's pass which allows you to enter the facility one hour before they open to the public and stay until sunset. Normally they close at five.
The wood duck I would say it is the most beautiful and photogenic of the ducks. Your title tells the story. I added some light to the birds to enhance the colors, and did a tighter crop. |

Sarita, the GBH is a great bird to photograph specially during matting season and when they are building their nest. It is interesting behavior when the male brings a twig/stick and the female receives it and places in the nest being build, she will allow the male to jump on her back. This image also has a good environmental component. |

Jerry, I agree with you. This bald eagle has a very strong attitude. The partial amputation of the body degrades the image. A tighter crop done intentionally will improve the image. |

Gloria, the bird is known as the anhinga in the US and this is a male. It has their characteristic pose with open wings and facing the sun to dry the feathers since they have no oil glands to make the feathers waterproof. They are excellent underwater fishers. Also the pose is very elegant with the neck twisted and head looking the other way. The image is sharp. |

Gerhard, yes the hammer head bird is endemic to Africa and Madagascar. I was able to photograph in in Tanzania. The image is at peak of action when the bird has the fish and showing movement to land given by the leg in the air and open wings. The image is sharp and the colors very vivid. |

Kathleen, this image has a lot of strong positive features including leading lines, the reflection of the not seen in the frame sitting people, and the strongest is the presence of the person looking down at the end of the walkway on the left (my left). I cloned out the crane in the back since it is distracting. I prefer the semi sepia version better. |

Pinaki, good street scene. The kid with the white elongated balloon stands out in the image and becomes the center of attention. The image is sharp. Some judges may criticise the level of amputation of the shoes and legs. Perhaps an on purpose tighter crop is of relevance. |

Bruce, Colombia is a bird's photographers and birders paradise. I was in the same region last September, specially for the hummingbirds. I like the way you cropped the image isolation the main subject and pace very well. The image is sharp and nicely composed. It is a normal reaction of the subjects when they realize that are being photographed. |

Ed, interesting but busy image. Equipment diversity including an iPad. I like the many nature and ethnic objects in the frame. The framing of the room and photographer in the background by the other three photographers enhances the image. |

Don, fantastic result from an unconventional vantage point as you described. 120 fps and the pre-capture feature of the Z9 allows for additional technology to capture images like this. Good eye from very far. |

Maria, nice winter landscape with a blurred stream of water giving that silky effect. I agree that the central point of the image is the silky are. I cropped the image in all four sides and added a little more light to the blurred stream to make it the central point. Sorry that I eliminated your frame. |

Richard, the Reddish Egret is the most interesting bird to photograph specially when they are looking for food. They give you the VIP performance in dancing and flying. Unfortunately, your image was created in very difficult light conditions and does not give justice to the beautiful and colorful bird. Also, when photographing birds in a perch/tree, it is desirable to get the whole body and legs the best you can, or crop the image on purpose but much tighter. |

Maria, nice image specially because the interaction of two different species of birds, each minding their own business. Image is sharp. I like Bruce's crop and just added some light and saturation to the Ibis so the real colors and details in the feathers show better. |
