Ian and Gary, rules are written to be followed, but also to ignore them. Every image we create is on the eyes of the beholder regardless. You have created an image that keeps our eyes and attention activated. I like the effect created by the mist. Lots of geometric areas. |

Guy, nice record image of the Statue, and you were able to bring out all the details in the shadows. Indeed Gary is very picky about symmetry. |

Bill, impressive architectural section of the restored building. Indeed the visual effect created by the pano function on the iPhone is very striking to the eye. Of course Gary's twick's makes the image more interesting. |

Erik, interesting variation of a claro-oscuro (chiaroscuro in the original Italian) which creates a strong contrast keeping the viewer fixed in the image wanting to see more. There is plenty of detail in the dark area, as is in the bright area without overexposing. Last but not least, great composition. I like how the monument in the back is framed by the dry and aged wood. |

Vella, I tend to agree with Gary. I find very interesting the fact of the two posters on the wall in the back. Both of the same person. just wonder if it is the man with the white rope around his waist in younger age. Precursors of the coin laundry ?? |

Gary, beautiful sunrise with vivid colors. Great leading line given by the pier. The clouds are nice and crispy. |

Tom and Sarita, interesting the effect created by the shadows on the observing's crane with dark and one band of light. For this group cloning out is allowed, but that would not be the case if we were a group of Bird's in a Nature subdivision. |

Kathy, these chicks are probably only a couple of days old. Interesting will be to capture images when they are being fed. Cormorant's most of the time build the nests on top of bushes. Here seems to be in a large tree branch. |

Sarita, image at peak of action on a very difficult area and background and were able yo capture it with minimal intrusion of the other cranes. Background very well managed. |

Gerald, if this was going to a "Nature" salon, then the PP is not allowed, but yes, it is allowed in this group |

Jerry, indeed the eagles expression is intimidating. The bird is sharp and is in a nice pose, even though is a quasi portrait. I added some light to the feathers and now we can see more detail, also cloned out the distracting elements: stick growing out of the head, and a white patch on the left. |

Gerhard, the Martial Eagle is a native of the Sub Saharan Africa, and we do not see them in America. Great capture at peak of action and ready to enjoy the prey. I added some light to the bird and tried to remove as much as I could of the greenish hue. |

Bruce, to me that sign seems to be out of place since nothing shown in the frame indicates places to park, so it does have some humor to it. The image is sharp and the colors are vivid. |

Kathleen, good street photography showing a mix of vendors and performers. Somehow the colors are completely washed out (perhaps intentionally), so I prefer the original color image. I just wonder if you have another image without amputated feet on the vendor. |

Pinaki, nice combination of street and travel photography. Indeed this man's handicap has not stopped him as how to make a decent living. The sign says that he also sings. |

Bev, three happy faces. Perhaps a little more of the environment would complement better the image. It is sharp and has nice colors. |

Adrian, Aruba is a great island, in fact; they call it the friendly island. When I lived in Caracas (Venezuela) we went there frequently. Only 35 minutes fly and cheap back then. This crab, the same as the Caribbean Lobster have different colors compared to other geographies. The soft right legs is not critical, but some purist judges would score the image low. Obviously the African crabs are more colorful. |

Maria, you are right. These dragonflies like to park on the tip of a stick or grass, and they can hold there for a while giving us the opportunity to photograph. Nice complementary colors between the green and yellow with no distracting elements. Sharp. Good crop. |

Maria, since the legs are already chopped for being underwater, perhaps a portrait presentation is in order. I like how the shadow of the fish projects on the white feathers. These wadding birds can swallow a whole shoe !! This is not a snowy egret, they are smaller. This guy is the typical great white Egret. |
