Erik, great image and I think that almost everything about it has been said. Saguaro National Park is a great place for photography, but if you miss the spot, you have to go back and star all over again your drive (One way only). Sorry that I missed you guys this year. |

Vela, the Capybaras are not only the favorite meal for the jaguars, but also are a gourmet plate for humans. I like this image very much showing the on guard attitude. I like either version with or without the shore line. The image is very sharp. In Venezuela they are called water dogs. |

Guy, River cruises give a lot of photographic opportunities along the way, to capture images like this. Once we did the route from Bucarest to Budapest stoping in many places along the route. I like Gary's crop since the dark clouds were overpowering the scene. |

Bill, I am sorry that I missed the Arizona PSA convention this year and not being able to hang out with you guys. I was at the Santa Rita Lodge in Madera Canyon earlier this year with a friend since we went for a chasing storms (lightning) workshop and prior we stayed at the lodge for 2 night. Great opportunities for Hummingbird photography. I will post some of my captures in future submissions. Your SS of 1/1000 sec captured a sharp bird body and soft wings, which I like very much indication that this aerodynamic creatures can hover. To my eye, the crop is very tight with the wing almost touching the edge of the frame, and very little space in the front of the bird to fly into. Using the AI generative in Photoshop, I added some real state to the image.
As a bonus, the tip of the birds tongue is visible. |

Gary, indeed Photopills is a brilliant app once you figure out as how it operates. Great composite image, but I get the sense that the moon is a little too large in context with the mountains and the Saguaros forest. Anyway it is a great image full of color and detail. |

Ian, si señor you did a very good job. Image is sharp and full of color and you captured her at peak in the dance doing some sort of twist. Perfect background. |

Kathy, good capture of the bird and worm. I did lower the brightness to the worm. It is always good to submit an image with some sort of action, rather than a static bird on a branch, unless it is a very unusual bird or is difficult to photograph in normal circumstances. The worm is the added bonus. |

SArita, I have never seen one Titmouse yet. I do not think they come to South Florida. You were able to capture the bird in a different position and trying to get the acorn which enhances the image. It is sharp and the crop appropriate. It is unfortunate that the leaf is in front of it. This would be my crop iteration. |

Pei-Fan, the Colvillea Racemosa aka Colville's Glory Tree, like the Royal Poinciana Tree, is native to Madagascar. Here we have a beautiful example of it, with the added bonus of the yellow bird with Green Eyes as you label it. These trees are sought after by the birds for its sweet nectar. The bird has a shadow around its beak that is distracting, Probably a fly or a bee out of focus, which I eliminated. Cropped the image to make the bird stand out better, still showing plenty of the tree. |

Jerry, great bird image. The only images that do well in photo salons are those that show the bird doing something. Here it is in flight, with the added bonus that is carrying a fish tail in the beak. I added a little light to make it more obvious. |

Gloria, I agree with Leslie. Lucky you that were able to get a fairly sharp image with this magnum crop. I tried a different iteration of the crop and adjustments going from the original, but the very low resolution did not help. |

Gerhard, sharp image and peak of action. Free landing ground and the GBH has a fish to complement the image. I am guessing this was in Africa, but I may be wrong. The hippo looks like minding its own business. Good timing. |

Kathleen, interesting image in which a lot is going on and does convey the European cafe culture. Several interactions of people. I probably would not have cropped the top this way since it amputated a few bodies. I think the belong into the context of the image. As always, your interpretation of the image in quasi sepia color is appropriate. |

Sergio, welcome back. You are presenting us a beautiful fall colors landscape that includes a path and a woman dressed in black colors sitting on a bench which brakes the trees and leaves monotony. The image is sharp. The accumulation of the fallen leaves enhances the image. |

Ed, the B&W interpretation gives more character to the image. It is all about the interaction of the woman and her dog. The fact that the back of the dog is touching the frame creates tension. Also there is a discoloration in the shape of a square on the side of the right back leg of the dog which is very obvious. |

Pinaki, interesting street image more about the architecture of the building and window with changes caused by exposure to the elements. The walking man adds the human component, but it is unfortunate that you amputated his right hand. I did some cropping to remove some of the distracting elements and brings up the man a little more. |

Andre, great image with unusual illumination which enhances the image without question. By using a very wide angle setting you have included the kiteboarder and its kite, which normally is not possible when using a long lens. The sunset is added interest. |

Adrian, great capture. I was in Yellowstone this past January, and just saw 1 wolf about a 1000 yards away. We heard that the day after we left, 8 wolfs took care of a weak bison. kept him in the water until had no choice but come out. The rest is as you depict in your image. I worked with the adjustment brushes, added light to the wolfs and removed a greish cast from the snow. |

Julia, to me the Reddish Egret is the best performer of the birds, specially when fishing. The dance they put is just unique. Your image is sharp and at pick of action given by the water splash. They are very fast, so you have to shoot in rapid bursts. My only observation is that the image has an overall bluish-Magenta hue. I worked it to my eyes taste. Great image. |
