Ian, here I bring back the say: never underestimate the complexity of simplicity. Indeed this image is very simple and at the same time bring out a great feeling. Perfect B7W interpretation. |

Vella, I agree with you that the pigeon is in an interesting head position, almost retracted, and placing the eyes in a inquisitive expression. The image is sharp, and the crop is appropriate to make the bird stand out. It is obvious that the brick construction is pretty old. |

Guy, very good B&W interpretation and PP to create this dramatic contrast of the clouds and sky as well as the rest of the image. The image is sharp and nicely composed. It is unfortunate that you were not able to get good images of the glassblowing process. |

Gary, you did obtain an unusual image of the undersurface of the bridge, its reflection in the river, symmetric composition, and great illumination of the other bank of the river. Your PP as described improved the image considerable taking away the possible distortion created by the wide-angle lens (Camera, lens and metadata not stated). Good planning to obtain sharp focus front to back and the reflections. |

Bill, it is now obvious that you are on an architectural images state of mind both here and also in your Facebook site. You have been presenting us with very elaborated and compelling vantage points showing all the details of these structures. For this image you were in a high vantage point at the level of the lamps. The presence of the two persons gives dimension to the image. Very good B&W interpretation while watching TV. The image is sharp. |

Erik, interesting combination of lines, colors and light. The metal staircases show the effects of long exposure to the elements. The space between each step lets the light through creating the streaks that one would expect should be equal, but that is not the case, they have different width. The greater real state of the image is occupied by the old red brick wall, which also is not uniform in its construction having bricks laid lengthwise and some transversal, which repeats itself every sixth row. The green vegetation adds color contrast to the image. |

Randall, Puffins are one of the most interesting birds to photograph. Image is sharp and the background is nicely blurred and non distracting. I think there is too much empty space than can be helped with a crop which makes the puffin stand out. |

Sarita, hummingbird photography is not an easy task. To be able to hover they need to flap their wings very fast which requires a fast shutter speed, and not always the background is presented to the best of the possibilities, like in this image we have the intrusion of another flower overlapping the body of the bird in the background, which is distracting. I see Kathy's intention to remove it, but the PP created some distortion of the image at that level. Otherwise, the image is sharp and the colors are vivid. |

With the masking brushes in Lightroom or ACR select the background only and using the temperature slide bring it down towards blue |

Jim, peak of action. It can not get any better than this. Nature at its best. A must agree with Mike with respect to cropping even tighter, but we can already see a halo around the eagles from the already magno crop. Further crop will deteriorate the image even more. BTW the sensor of your camera needs cleaning. On second thought I took the image to Topaz Gigapixels and increased the size of the file x4 and was able to process the image and do an additional crop. Added some blue to the background. Since the birds are pulling each other in different direction, the can sit in the middle of the frame |

Mike, interesting image but "the birds" are completely diluted in the frame which is mainly a landscape. With a good crop, and adding some contrast and reducing the brightness, now the little birds which in fact are called Brown Headed Cow Birds stand out more. |

Kathy, great capture of the cattle egret in mating plumage. The image is sharp, and the background is appropriate, but I must agree with Mike in reference to the white flowers around the beak which in actuality looks like the bird is holding a bouquet of flowers, but it is distracting. Just for illustration purposes I am showing the same image obtained a few year ago at the Alligator Farm in St Augustin-Florida, with an uniform, non distracting background |

Pinaki, the working man does not look that he is going to have a productive morning. The streets are still empty of people. The guy with the plastic cup with some liquour still in it is facing away from the camera and seems to be calling his pals to join him. New Orleans never sleeps. The image is sharp. |

Sally, this is busy image and the time of the day makes the light very hash and creates very strong shadows obscuring most of the faces in the back ground. Of course you tried to center the attention in the two boys at the front, dressed the same way (hard to say if they are twins), and they indeed are concentrated in going after the giant bubbles in the front and you can also see the mother in an acrobatic position, also photographing them. For sure it is not an easy crop to isolate the two brothers. |

Bruce, this Lady's gaze seems lost in the distance, and the skin and nails of her hand show her age and hard work in the field. Her typical outfit for sure improves considerably the image. Interesting as how you selected your focus point, being the foreground and background blurred and non distracting. I just wonder if you should have left the vegetables in the front whiting the DOF. She is sharp. |

Gerald, I like the main image the best since there is complete separation between the aircrafts, the amoke is not blocking any of them, it is sharp. In ACR masking brushes I selected the sky and moved the WB slider to the left. That gave the blue sky.

Marie, even though our group in Nature + (meaning adjustments are allowed, not in like Pure Nature which together with Photojournalism and phototravel are the reality divisions, or in other words, as you saw it); I try ti stay away from all these new AI capabilities in Adobe, which in actuality, you are letting the software create your image. |

Marie, the super crop and the very high ISO took a stake on the image, and of corse, worsened by the removal of the noise. Since the birds were kind of stationary, as Bruce said, a lower shutter speed would have needed a lower ISO. Anyway; there is a nice interaction of the two blue Jays, Perhaps a mother feeding an adult chick. |

Maria, this month you are presenting us an image of an acrobatic frog, holding tight onto the green grass. The image is very sharp and colorful, and your settings gave a nice bokeh. I believe a much tighter crop takes away a lot of empty space, and makes the frog stand out better. |
