Bill, another Church Photography Masterpiece. as noted, your high vantage point allowed to capture very little distortion which normally happens with a wide angle lens shooting from the ground level. also as mentioned it is very sharp and has perfect symmetry. Obviously the seven exposures were not enough to capture detail in those little windows up high and they look overexposed, but giving a sort of a shining and ethereous mystery light. |

Ian, impressive modern ship and the golden light. Where you supposed to get the couple at their stateroom balcony as well by any chance ? Obviously the cruising industry is coming back. This looks like a very large ship. I just checked the details about it and it will carry 6300 passengers (https://www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise/ships/msc-virtuosa).
The image is sharp, and I hope they grant you an invitation to go onboard. |

Guy, this is new for me. My eye is more trained to see B&W IR images where the green becomes white and the blue becomes black. Here we have an interesting combination of colors and after your described PP, the sand looks like snow and the water looks like the black sea. The people on the pier looks like everybody is wearing white. Cool effect. It is sharp and I like the way you placed the pier in the frame working as a leading line to nowhere. |

Erik, great capture at the right moment. The chicks are already a few days old since the whole body is covered by the feathers. When they are recently hatched the really look ugly but cute with areas of the body bare and with something that looks like hair and not feathers. The light was not in your favor creating strong contrast between the bright and shadowed areas, but well managed and no overexposure. Good sharpness. |

Gary, it is always interesting to be at these reenactment events, specially when vintage customs are displayed/used. In this group of people, they look engaged. You were able to work around the harsh light and the bright and shadowed areas. No overexposure. Image is sharp. |

Vella, great image. The silk effect on the water is just at the right point: not too slow speed, not too fast. The whites are not overexposed. Nice PP and good sharpness. |

Lori, did you try to create the image at a lower ISO ?
20.000 is quite high and the image has a lot of noise.
I have done it with max 3.200, same 20 secs exposure |

Rich, The Dom of the Berlin Cathedral is a magnificent structure that reaches almost 100 meters high. The Cathedral is a Neo-Renaissance building. The Dome holds a large Golden Cross which unfortunately is not seen in your image. The image is sharp, and you were gifted with beautiful weather. I used ACR and added some light to the shadows and now we can see more detail in the elaborated work of the facade and the statues. I read that you used 18 mm in your lens which obviously was not enough to include the whole building with the towers as well as the street. Using a further away vantage point or trying to make a panorama with several images in portrait orientation would have solved the issue. |

Gloria, I like very much the expression on the girls face and looking straight at you. She is enjoying one of the fruits (which I do not recognize, and I do not think this is in the USA) her mother is selling. The B&W interpretation is well done, and the image is sharp. The crop eliminated the distracting elements in the background. |

Dan, you captured the right moment at the right vantage point. Indeed they were sharing a smoke and looking at each other. The background is very well managed and non distracting. The colors are strong and the light is a little harsh and falling perpendicular to the subjects (around noon time or so). Also I just learned what Swisher is about. The image is sharp. |

Daniel, interesting group of people, three couples forming a triangle on the canvas. The two in the front are just admiring the landscape, the one in the back are more engaged, since he is looking at her. Good B&W interpretation, however it needs a little more contrast. The tree at the edge makes me feel that the creator of the image was hiding behind it a la paparazzi. I added some contrast, made the verticals straight and removed the hose in the foreground which is obvious and distracting, and cropped a little of the tree. |

Les, in this image we can also apply that timing is of essence. You caught him at the right time taking a big bite. The image in nicely composed with no distracting background, very well managed. It does have a grunge effect, is it over sharpening/oversaturation ?? I do not think it is noise. |

Bruce, good action image. Was the 1/125 sec intentional with 560mm lens power ? You have a combination of players in focus, but most of them show motion blur. |

Mary, you are putting color to my mental images of the underwater landscape. Back in the late 50's I would not miss any of the episodes of "Sea Hunt" with Lloyd Bridges and of course, in black and white and doubled into Spanish (El investigador submarino). The bright colored corals in the foreground is the main subject and the colors are well represented. The multiple fishes of different sizes and shapes complement the image, and of course the silhouetted dive buddy adds mystery to it. The crop eliminated the bright and distracting spot in the upper corner. |

Randy, yes Steve is a good guy and very knowledgeable. His Costa Rica workshop was very well organized. The local guides are superb. I was supposed to go last year but got postponed until this year. The weather was not completely friendly, raining every day and at times twice a day. The accommodations are just great. I may have used a touch of denoise in Lightroom. Yes, the local airline from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez (Peninsula Osa) Sansa is a 12 persons small single engine plane. Because you are going for photography they let you bring your gear into the cabin but it is piled up in the back. They will allow 50 lbs including your regular stuff. My photo back pack was 36 lbs. They charge $ 1.50 each additional weight above 50, but only once. I would go again. |

Adrian, congratulations on achieving already the PPSA. That takes a lot of accepted images indeed. What a lovely image showing the interaction of the wolfs. Was this the alpha male and perhaps two females, or a female and a young one ? From the power you had available (260 mm) you were pretty close to them.
The image is sharp, and the falling snow adds to the story telling. |

Walt, interesting display of fireworks captured on what seems to be the same exposure, and the PP removing the smoke made it even better. The white looks like electrical sparks. You do not disclose the shutter speed. It is sharp. |

Randy, nice portrait of the Red Fox. Very sharp and nice colors. I see that the fox was tagged but you removed them on your PP. He was pretty far from you so you were not able to fill the frame even with 500 mm, but having the gift of a large 45 Megapixels file gives plenty of room for a tight crop. |

Marie, nice waterfall landscape and with the silky water effect created by the slow shutter speed. Your PP brought out detail and great color. I like very much how you composed the image placing your vantage point so that the waterfall is followed by a S stream of water at your eye level. |

Bruce, beautiful triad of Cardinals, however not in the right proportion... should be two females for one male. The image is very sharp and the colors are very vivid. Also the three birds form a triangle with the wooden perch working as leading line towards the princess. was this taken from a blind ? you did not provide the info re camera and lens. Perhaps, I would crop a little from the top. |
