Guy, you created a Merry-Go-Round image full of color and the more I look to it, the dizzier I get.. Your circular camera movement was very steady and of uniform speed so there is a little area more defined at the center of rotation. Your PP brought out nice colors and the image looks like a star trails. Indeed, something different. |

Gary, WOW; I got tired just from reading the complexity of your PP to render a pure and tourist free image. It is also impressive the amount of color and detail extracted from the combined images. On my monitor the water flowing down the rocky wall on the left has a very strong blueish hue, and the area were the central flow of water fall looks kind of overexposed with no detail. I removed the blue saturation, and with the adjustment brush reduced the brightness of the central falls and the water. Nice composition. |

Erik, this images gives the feeling of tranquility and silence away from the everyday madness. The fog gives the sense of mystery to the image as well. The yellow kayak stands out in the image and the paddler is wearing a hat full of feathers, and an interesting shirt with a logo displaying a hand holding a snake. His gesture indicates active movement. Image is sharp and the background is not distracting. |

Vella, nice stony chapel with a very full cemetery. I like the road leading to the entrance where we have the sheep waiting for the visitors. The greens are very vivid and the vegetation is alive and healthy (plenty of water). The image is sharp and your PP brought out more color and detail. This image is also good for phototravel. |

Bill, it is fascinating the gamma of colors rendered by the different IR filters and PP. I like very much how the green becomes white's which gives a very interesting finish to the image. Nice house and great composition. Now the blue of the sky looks greyish (black in monochrome). I have been tempted to incursionate into the IR world, but have not done so. There are a few groups dealing with IR here in the PID division. |

Ian, it is good to know that you finally got a little break. The steel hand holding the mirror is well constructed and it is very original. The image is sharp, and tells a story of the Harley Cult. Background well managed and non distracting. |

Gloria, I always shoot in burst (3 to 5) regardless of the occasion. If it is wildlife, many more. |

Bruce, nice contrast between the purple and the green. You pretty much did our work in your presentation stating the amputated feet. I just wonder if you could have moved down just a bit and change your vantage point by using a different angle, since you had the subject authorization to photograph, so the whole shoe would be included. |

Daniel, nice and tranquil image. Very few people on the water, it is probably still cold weather. Lots of frames that look like goal arches, perhaps it is a very popular beachfront sport. The couple on the bench, facing the water are obviously enjoying the moment. The title, both English and French is allegoric to the occasion. The image is sharp. At first look I thought there was to much empty space in the sky, but in actuality all fits well and the pole off center divides the image in two asymmetric parts. |

Gloria, I like the girl's gesture, It seems that she is not able to see through the googles and want to remove them. The image looks sharp around her face and arms, but soft in her lower body (on purpose ?) and the background more so, showing the presence of an adult woman sitting on a chair, probably her caretaker. Her bathing suit as Dan pointed out looks like fish scales, appropriate for the occasion. Good hot summer image. |

Dan, When I saw this image I said to myself that I am not the only crazy photographer creating images of the men holes covers. People look at me when I am doing that. I have a very vast collection from all over the world places I have visited in the last few years.
I like this image very much since it shows the effects of time and the elements over the cast iron, not to mention the image of the fish which is self explanatory indicating access to clean water. It is very sharp and nicely framed in the square crop.

Les, very appropriate image for the month. I like the fact that the American Flag is in the foreground and taking about 25 % of the real state. Beautiful color contrast. The presence of the parachuter gives dimension to the image and glorifies the service men. The blue sky with the light clouds complements the image. It is sharp. |

Dean, the image is about the Raccoons, but they are overpowered by the tree trunk. There is a halo around the critters and I presume was created by the PP. I did a very generous crop and now the critters stand out, and also added some light the the eyes. You were at the right place at the right time. |

Mary, nice landscape, sharp and with vivid colors. The green of the trees brakes the monotony of the earth tones, and the blue sky with a few clouds adds interest to it. |

Walt, the blue of the cornflower brakes the monotony of the orange color flowers and stands out. The foreground and midground are very sharp, not so the background which takes most of the real state being a little distracting. I prefer a tighter crop, placing the blue flower on one third. These wildflowers are really beautiful and colorful as well. |

Marie, this image is so cute and your PP really created an intimate one. The goslings are so sharp, and the back light emphasizes the hair like feathers. It is interesting as how the beam of light/reflection going through them helped to create that effect. Agree with Bruce that the vignette is too intense and probably would be a reason for not being accepted in a saloon. Again another ++ to the D850. |

Yes Adrian, you are right about pure Nature, but then you could use a more intimate image that emphasize's the act of feeding. Unfortunately, the size of the image here is so small that becomes pixelated, or you can use it in color. |

Adrian, this is a cute coot's image. The chicks at this stage have no feathers in the head but growth that looks like hair. The image is sharp, but I think you cropped it too tight and amputated the back leg on the mother and the chick is very close to the frame's edge. I took the original, did a few adjustments including more light on the mother's eye to bring out the red color, and left enough space around them which required removal of some distracting vegetation. |

Bruce, first time I see this bird. It may not be a frequent visitor to Florida. The image is sharp and your PP made the colors less bright. I find that there is a lot of empty space around the perch and bird, so I did a vertical (portrait) crop which makes the bird stand out. Also added some light to the eye. |

Randy, incredible bear family portrait. It is priceless to be at the right place at the right time. Obviously they were staring at something with a lot of interest. We do not have the original out of camera to evaluate how much is cropped, but 850 mm brings he subject close. It is sharp, and nicely composed. On my monitor the image has a very strong magenta hue, so I decreased the saturation slightly. Great image. |
