Thanks to all. It is interesting how each one of us sees something. We were on a boat which did go around of the fish rock, so I was able to create images from different vantage points. I picked this one on purpose because it had the boat, to show dimension, and to be exactly in the middle of the separation. I am attaching four additional for your view with no major adjustments. |

Ian, we now have the whole action sequence you started on July 2017, followed by March 2019 and now January 2021. "Indeed very slow boats". It took them 18 months to reach to the turn....
Now on a more serious comment, it is a very sharp action shot, with only 1/800 sec. I am sure these boatmen have to maneuver not to flip at the turn. Good photojournalistic topic as well. Well done. |

Joe, very good architectural image, and you were able to correct very well the perspective distortion from shooting buildings with a wide angle lens, unless you used a tilt shift lens (very expensive and dedicated). Lots of information at the facade o the building. The color of the building is unusual, and contrasts very well with the blue sky and abundant white clouds. The pigeon at the edge is the "cherry on Top". |

Bill, this event is still in my ToDo list. I have seen many images of the hot air balloon's, but I have to admit neither as this showing so many at the same time, and ingeniously composed. Very sharp, the colors are bright, and as Guy said, the blue sky in this case works perfectly as a uniform backdrop. One detail I do note that the intensity of the blue behind the largest balloon is darker than the rest of the frame. Was this on purpose or it just was the response of the camera sensor ? I would probably remove the amputated balloon's at the edge of the frame. |

Guy, very nice city/town scape. Very sharp front to back (at f/8) the roadway works well as a leading line towards the back of the main street. The snow is still white and with no overexposed areas. Your PP brought out good colors. Also like how the branches of the trees on the left and right frame nicely the buildings. |

Vella, you ended up with a sharp image in spite of the maxi crop. There is some noise but not disturbing. Your PP brought out detail. The eyes of the leopard are looking at you. Indeed he is ready to jump. The surrounding vegetation and logs create a nice frame to it. |

Erik, this image denotes silence, peace, beauty. It is very sharp. The colors, specially the reflections in the water, are superb. The sandhill cranes are incredible birds. Most of the time the come in flocks. Just to be picky, I would crop a little from either side to end with an odd number of birds. Well done. |

Michael, my first impression was of a monster looking down with very long arms trying to reach something, and with a long tail. Very sharp. Nicely converted to B & W with good black and white tones and 50 shades of grey..... |

Gloria, the first impression you get when viewing this image is of a very elaborated and detailed architecture, showing the effects of time and exposure to the elements on the surface. It is very sharp, symmetric, centered, and then you perceive the presence of a hand coming out from the left lower edge of the frame, and with a different color compared to the background, but out of focus. Now; you mention that you are on a mission to photograph hands. Was this intentionally out of focus or the AF of the camera did the focus on the building, since I am sure that hand would not stay in the frame for a very long time so you can "plan" it.
I just wonder how it would look if the focus was set on the hand and then the background would be slightly blurred (f/4.5). Food for thought |

Hassan, the three individual form a triangle, and the two men on the left are looking towards the approaching young fellow. The light and shadow transition is very strong and the light is harsh. I did a few tweaks to it: reduced the bluish hue in the shadows/cobbled stones road, using a graduated filter reduced the brightness of the harsh light. I just wonder if you have more real state/canvas information at the upper edge, since the hand of the man on the lather is barely touching it, and therefore there is no way to straightened the edge without amputating his hand. The image shows very primitive construction characteristics. Not always is possible to "study and plan" the image when you are shooting street photography. |

Marius, nice night shot. The poorly illuminated street adds mystery to the image. The name of the cafe/restaurant honors the title of the image. There is human interaction which adds interest to the story. It is sharp. The water canal in the middle of the cobbled street works as a leading line towards the people at the end. We did visit the Bram Castle (dracula's castle) near Brasov in Transylvania. |

Daniel, great DOF and sharp front to back. The upper part of the columns (orange color) acts as a strong leading line to the back and straight to the human component which enhances the image and gives dimension |

Marie, you really are a "mountain woman". I can sense that you love hiking. This is a beautiful ski area in the winter. The image is sharp and your PP brought out a lot of color, but perhaps the green does not look natural, specially due to the light conditions at the time of the day you created this image. I see you eliminated a redish fence on the left of the frame. |

Mary, as you can sense, every photographer has hers/his own point of view, but I think the essence is on "The beauty is on the eyes of the Beholder". I jus wonder if you indeed did a HDR process on the blending of your multiple images I am sure you have in your storage drive. I love the colors, specially the reflection on the water. The image is sharp. The bushes in the foreground do not really bother me. |

Adrian, you make your point on this image with the waterbuck. Perhaps in your main image this month you should have chosen a different vantage point (not always possible though). |

Walt, this mountain goat looks younger than the other. His horns are not as beat up. Very sharp, specially the fur. Since most of his body was not included, I prefer a tighter crop more resembling a head shot. Unfortunately, the stone above his horns is somehow distracting. Here in our group (not pure nature) it is allowed to do some tweaking (I used the patch tool) and added a slight vignette. |

Randy, spoonbills are a delight to photograph, specially flying (or landing). The colors are well managed, the image is sharp. Doing some desaturation of the yellows in the background and reducing the luminosity can improve it. |

Bruce, great image. I do not mind the grass in his mouth. It gives some action to it. This Ram is used to see people (you were very close) you do not disclose the zoom setting, but you can tell since you filled the frame with his face. Very sharp. The whites are not overexposed and the detail on the fur is just impressive. Indeed, great shot. |

Adrian, nice PP. You were able to bring out detail and color, but in this instance of the elephants in their environment, the tree in the background really overpowers the elephant, and the crop you selected, amputated the elephant in the back (not so in the original). The image is sharp. |
