Ian, thank you but unfortunately, not all the judges thinks and understands action photography as you do. I used the main image once and only got 8 (up to 10), claiming the background was distracting.... What do they know..... |

Guy, very nice landscape with a very dramatic light effect over the hill. Obviously, this only lasts a few seconds so you have to be aware of it and at the right place at the right time, not always accomplishable. The colors are very vivid, and the image is very sharp. Good inclusion of landscapes elements: foreground, midground and background. The presence of the clouds, complements the image. |

Joe, I did go there, and I do have an image with people at the end of the tunnel but looking from the other end/direction where you do not see the the text on the arches, which indeed are advertisements for the sponsors of each arch. It is very sharp and you did get the slight turn included in the frame. The day I was there there were like half a million people taking selfies, so I had to wait for the right timing. I will look for my image and share it with the whole group later. |

Bill, the first thing I have to say is that you look younger. Interesting interpretation of a normal image. How many shots did you take until you were happy with this one? Now days, the masters would be out of business with all these plethora of exotic apps for photography. |

Ian, what a great image but I think the rock with the green algae in the foreground, is a leading line but, it is overpowering the lighthouse completely. The image is sharp, the colors are well balanced, and this is my interpretation of the scene. |

Erik, oystercatchers are fun to see at work. It is amazing how fast and easy they open the shells with the beak. You got it at the right moment and with a beautiful morning light. It is super sharp, and since you mentioned that you did not do any, I just wonder what caused that line ?? I did tone down the bluish hue in the sand and the shadow, and now the colors of the bird stand out even more. |

Vella, very intense look of the woman. She probably was not very happy to be photographed. Your crop, and monochrome interpretation has made a snapshot into a nice portrait. I would work a little more over the background with some burning specially where the shoes are or perhaps with content aware which I did, and then cloned out more. |

Doug, congratulations on your achievement. One thing is for real, the only way to get an image as this is with careful planning, being able to "see" the light and having the tools to stack 46 images. Outstanding image indeed. Well deserved. |

Glenn, at first I thought the gun was too high and blocking the face, but then I realized that it is pointing directly to my eyes, and leads me to the right rest of the image. Great shot. |

Lauren, perfect timing. You were able to get the bird in the opening of the branches. The eagles stay as a couple for life and they alternate in sitting over the eggs and to bring food for the chicks. You were lucky to get a sharp image of a flying bird with 1/250 sec shutter speed. Maybe a tighter crop will make the birds more prevalent in the frame. |

Randy, good night seen of DC depicting the dome of the capital building. The dark streets add mystery to the image, Now the light poles are somehow overpowering the dome at the distance, since my eyes go there first, but also work as leading lines towards the dome. The slight out of focus foreground is not distracting. Toning down the light poles will make the dome stand out better. I also added a little light to the dome. |

Bruce, this really is a timeless image depicting the reality of our new normal. I do not think that in pre-Covid19 times we could find a barber shop empty and the barber just sitting and reading the newspaper. The way I see your original image, you just pointed and took the image with no major or elaborated thinking. The sepia interpretation adds mystery/sadness to it. It is sharp. I did use a perspective correction slider in ACR and cropped to a square, eliminating a lot of empty and non informative real state as well as the amputated words. |

Hassan, the look on their faces is very intense, and augmented by the harsh contrast in the B&W interpretation due to the light conditions. The man on the left (my left) with the hand (hamsa and eye) printed on his T-shirt is looking at you, the other two are minding their own business. It is obvious that each man is from s different ethnicity. It tells a story. |

Daniel, this is the kind of images that are selected in street photography competitions. Here you have a lot of things going on. First the solitude of the woman, the soccer golly frame, the red sign stating that it is forbidden to swim and finally the presence of a kid all the way in the background kneeling on the sand. Perhaps the small rocks at the left (my left) edge of the frame is a little distracting. Normally you should include them completely, or not at all. All the elements together denote the immensity of the beach seen. |

Gloria, nice street shot of the tourists being photographed by a third member of the group. My guess is that they are trying to frame something in the background with their body position. Also, very interesting s how the man with the yellow shirt looks at them and perhaps showing some degree of rejection to the presence of the tourist. I believe that you removed a distracting object on the ground in the foreground of the image between the shoes of the two girls, it is very obvious. I am also surprised that they did not react to your vantage point in taking the picture. |

Marius, I understand that your intention on this image was to make us "see things". The first thing (no pun intended) that my eyes see is the crossed arrows pointing everywhere and a bright out of focus background on the left of the frame (my left) with a pink frame, all of which are very distracting. The two arms on each side (amputated bystanders) frame the central subject. |

Geoffrey, interesting as how after this amount of cropping you also have a fairly sharp image of the butterfly, including the antennas and the proboscis, but not so sharp the upper part of the wings. The back light enhances the image. Now, the yellow of the out of focus flower is overpowering the attention to the butterfly. It needs to be tone down quite a bit. Nice treatment of the background. |

Brenda, it is impressive as how after this amount of cropping you still have a fairly sharp image. Obviously; you were quite far from the subject (504 mm focal length). Additionally your PP was able to darken the environment around the bird, without removing it. Perhaps you could reduce the luminosity on the legs, since this is the first thing my eyes go to. As a side note, once I heard an international birds photography contest, and always the judges pointed out that the winner images is when you can see the whole head and eyes of the bird. Here is not the case. |

Mary, interesting effect, caleidoscope style. The hummingbird is sharp including the wings which denotes a very high shutter speed. The bird is a little overexposed in some of the bright areas. |

Bruce, we do not have this rough seas in Florida either.... Beautiful light and shadows combination, and the fact that the tip of the wave is back lit, makes it stand out even more, and we can appreciate the mist better. The three birds complement the image. I would love to see some of the new images. |

Marie, I do not agree completely with Bruce. Yes, it is a little busy but I think we can see the positive aspects of the image. W e have the Teepee trees look alike, with a path that lead our eyes towards them. The bushes on the left (my left) and on the background do fill the frame, and being a different class makes the Teepee stand out. Now, I have a question ? Is there a third leg of the Teepee behind the right sided leg ? If that is the case if you had changed your vantage point you would get the perfect Teepee and probably did not have to include the log in the front which is a little distracting. I do like the Teepe to be on a diagonal. Unfortunately, we can not change what it is. |

Walt, I also agree that this is another one of your WOW images collection. We do not have any mountains nor wild flowers in Florida. The light crowning the mountain is the cherry on the whipped cream. Beautiful colors, and great composition. Nothing to change. |

Adrian, you nailed it at getting the wildlife in their environment. Very nice the way the big trees frame the family of elephants. It is unfortunate that the elephant on the right of the frame (my right) is facing away. The image is sharp and your PP brought out the colors, but I think the yellow need to be tone down slightly specially on the baby elephant since it is of lighter color to begin with. |
