Erik, thank you for your PP. It did remove the noise but made the whole image a little softer and smooth, and it gives the sensation of a more peaceful environment. Look at the B&W interpretation and using control points in Silver Efex Pro 2 worked only on the ski. |

Vella, here is your request. I used Nick collection 3, Silver Efex Pro 2, picked the full spectrum option, and placing control points just in the sky, and reducing considerably the structure, was able to remove most of the noise in the sky without softening too much the image. |

Ian, great stormy image. Impressive the way the lighthouse is in the water, and the fact that you were able to escape. I just imagine what Larry describes happened to him. No fun. I did give more light to the water to separate it from the rocks and increased the contrast, but is kind of difficult because of the overlaps. Very strong sky. |

Vella, nice landscape with very contrasting colors from the foreground to the midground. I am not sure if the intense gold color of the sand is realistic and with the PP you lost the green of the vegetation as seen on the original image, unless this is the way it looks for the light conditions at that time of the day. Additionally, there is a bluish hue not seen in the original. Here I think that I would have given more emphasis to the ground vs ski like 2/3 to 1/3 of the frame. In your image you cropped it panorama like. I did differentt adjustment to the original and cropped as mentioned. Using the dehaze was able to give more details to the mountains, and the sand is more natural color. Of course, could not remove the footsteps in the sand. |

Guy, you are the stairs master. Here again I place the question going up or down ?? we have leading lines going all over contrasting with the vertical pillars of the structure. The presence of people give dimension to the image. The upside down writing gives us food for thought and to exercise our brain trying to read it as is (very good exercise to delay brain deterioration). The image is very sharp for a 1/10 shutter speed. Good human tripod indeed. The colors are well balanced and PP for the light conditions. |

Joe, going up or going down ?? Very interesting staircase which color contrast wit the color of the building structure. Indeed Gaudi was way ahead for his time. His creations are just magnificent. I do not think that the Sagrada Familia Church will ever be finished, since represents a limitless source of income for them. Interesting that at ISO 51200 you still can get some detail. The noise looks like the old fashion grains in film photography and gives some vintage looking to the image. |

Eric, this is an outstanding nature creation. The colors, the background, the timing, the reflection in the water, the body language of the male creating what looks like a dance. It is very sharp. Lucky you that your hard drives could be rescued. |

Bill, I also watched Lisa's webinar. The title called my attention, and it was interesting. Lisa and her husband do nice work. Here you are expressing the fading beauty of these dying tulips (not dead yet !!) since the are still colorful petals. I like the background that you created. Interesting on the yellow tulip, the fallen petals expose the intricate structures inside. The way the flowers were set up on Dr Peper's soda can (I would have used a club soda can...)form a V for victory and purpose in life. It is very sharp, and of course we could spend the rest of the day having a philosophical discussion about life and death. |

Bruce, very interesting story indeed and a good photojournalistic/travel photography example, knowing the story you just related to us. It is sharp, nicely cropped to reveal the important elements including the fine whiskey/scotch bottle and the hand pouring it and the figure representing the deity. Your PP obviously eliminated the distracting elements.I just wonder if below there is a secret receptacle for reuse and/or drinking it again..... The white stroke separates the image from the background. |

Daniel, Toby the piano player is sitting in the middle of the frame and on what looks like a boulevard closed to motor vehicles. He is being observed by the people in the background, and one of the women in the foreground, and he is framed by them. It is a good B&W interpretation of the image with proper contrast between the blacks and the whites. It is sharp. Everything is in focus from the front to the back. Nice story. |

Gloria, typical image of other parts of the world, except here in the US, where we do not see this type of man power handling. The red hooded coat takes my eyes directly to the action of this image. The two men are working on the quarter of a cow which must be heavy. The surroundings show what looks like an old town with the deteriorated walls after decades of vehicles and other means of transportation pass by. The image is sharp, and the colors have a subtle HDR like effect. I think that the open door of the truck and the two men with the quarter cow are too close to the edge, creating some tension since they have no room to move into. The white lines on the ground work as leading lines for the action. |

Jim, this image is in accordance to the current happenings, without going into a political discussion. I like the vintage like old fashion look, with the irregular frame and that overall grey haze tone which happened when the film was exposed to x-rays at the airports. Obviously, they are in some sort of dancing/celebration. Only two faces are looking your way. |

Randy, good street image. all but one of the art students are concentrated in their craft (7 in total, odd number), except the one sitting in the back next to the yellow chair with a smile face, is into something else, and brakes the harmony of the image. all of them are wearing light clothing implying a hot summer day. One of them is left handed. The image is sharp, the colors are well handled, but I think it is a little dark. I would add some light to the shadows to bring out more details and color. |

Hassan, it is an interesting image specially by the very low vantage point you used. Now, I am not sure about the focus point, it is in the foreground on the green grass and the canal on the left. The slop and the people (3-odd number) are out of focus. Was your intention to make this image sort of intriguing ?. Indeed the very steep street is a good daily exercise. |

Marie, Ecco un'altro esempio di una bellissima foto dei Dolomites. To be in the right place at the right time is all it takes. Your crop and PP made this image into a beautiful panorama with vivid colors. I used Viveza 2 (Nick Collection) with the adjustment points increased the saturation of the sun rays to create more impact.

Adrian, the most important factor for wildlife photography (in addition to the right guns) is anticipation, to know the species behavior, and here it paid off. The backlit tail with the perfect detail (no pun intended) makes the image. It is sharp. The crop created a very good composition. Perfect non distracting background. |

Bruce, great capture at the peak of the action when the little Green Heron captured the fish (good size) and the movement was frozen showing the water droplets still in the air. Nice pond that the bird found with a secure source of food. The image is very sharp and the colors are very balanced. It is unfortunate that the big leaf of the lilies plant is partially blocking the bird. The flower (blurred) just below the bird complements the environment. Good crop and composition. |

Mary, the condition were just right. Being at the right place at the right time: clouds, reflections, light, shadows. Lovely composition, with the stream starting at the lower left of the image and leading you towards the pine forest with a V formation and framing the highest peak in the background. All three components fore, mid and background have their own interest, and all in focus. Your PP brought out beautiful colors. |

Abhijeet, I hope that the situation back home is getting better. Again, this unique image of the matting Rhino's stands out, and this time; Mr Rhino may have a problem, and so could have had you, being so close to the action given by your original image. It is sharp, perhaps the colors could be improved using the dehaze filter in LightRoom or Adobe Camera Raw filter in Photoshop. The white egret is flying away since he or she is sensing trouble. It would be interesting if you could tell us the whole story as how this event finished writing in the bulletin board on the heading. (http://psadigital.org/group72/bb.php) |

Jay, the other option is to create the image from the side, on a low tripod if you have one. This way you will have a soft non distracting background, and include the stem for context. Here, the grass, even though is slightly out of focus, it is distracting. You can change the angle as you please and use a much smaller f/stop for better sharpness. |
