Joey, the frog is tack sharp. I do find the yellow distracting, so I cropped the image and added a little vignette. More frog images in group 69 |

Guy, once we took a river cruise in the south of France. On occasions we were sitting on deck and asked to go off deck before going under some bridges and the boat's bridge (no pun intended) would retract down as well not to hit the bridge. |

Bill, the vantage point was very limited with no possibilities to enter into the working area for security reasons, however; you can see that the worker has no protection whatsoever. The only view option was straight on, and as I said, limited. I did crop a little and added a vignette as suggested by Joe and you. |

Thomas, indeed a great action shot. Following Guy's observations and using ACR I added some light to the shadows, then reduced slightly the brightness, and added a touch of exposure. |

Guy, yes; looks like the musical pentagram. Great color and beautiful silhouettes. Lots of couples. Interesting that the image is sharp with only 1/100 sec, hand held and from a moving platform. |

Joe, great image. Your vantage point was low enough to see the end of the tunnel. Sharp all the way. Guy did a great job fixing the distortions. |

Erik, what a coincidence that our images are related to the same geographic area and you can see another of mine in group 72. Your description really tells the essence of the image: the granddaughter and the bystander with the hand on his heart, the rest were just recording the moment "with no gusto" . The image is sharp and the colors are good for the light and ski. At first I considered cropping the image from the left of the frame (my right side) and take away the three men, but then Ken would end up to close to the border, so I left it as is. Great creation. |

Ian, great "The moment it Clicks" capture. Erik read my mind, but he was more successful than me in straightening the verticals without amputating more hands, and his additional PP improved the image. Good out of focus background showing that everybody was having a good time with the rapid pace and bit of latin music (I can relate to that !!) |

Bill, tack sharp image. The light the colors, the advantage point all right on. As Erik said; what do some judges know about landscape photography. I while back I came across this photographer's site who has photograph the barn in all four seasons and different years

Richard, I think the right word is mesmerized. We were there last November and you can not get enough of it. The green looks a little oversaturated so I toned it down slightly, and used the perspective tool to make the verticals straight, and cropped the image slightly to remove incomplete statue and a dark entrance with a silhouetted person which were a little distracting. Great image indeed. |

Jim, the first base guy is bare hands and barefoot, nothing to compare with today's outfits and equipment. Peak of action with the player running towards first base and the ball is on his way as well being slightly blurry denoting movement. The light is soft (cloudy day). I added a little light to the shadows and cropped it just a bit. |

Lauren, interesting image with an odd number, and the monotony is broken by the girl looking the opposite way but not towards the photographer. The outfits are very colorful and dissimilar and the physical effort made by five of the girls is also captivating. It is sharp and the light is perfect. |

Dan, very colorful scene with lots of elements that frame the boy and his mother but the red mail box keeps taking my eyes away from the center of the image, so I cropped it, and now does not happen. It is sharp, and I agree with Guy that denotes peace and tranquility. |

Gloria, you captured the image at the right moment when she looks mesmerized with the Canadian $ 20 bill, she probably was not expecting it. Difficult light situation with brights and dark's (shadows) probably near or around noon time since the bright areas are on her head and arms. Good color rendition, sharp, well placed in the frame, however; I think the tree at the edge is taking prevalence over the woman. I cropped it and now she takes over and well framed without being overwhelmed. I fixed the white stroke. |

Daniel, it is summer and we have two beach scenes this month. The people showing us their back are very sharp and prominent in the frame, probably representing visitors to the are given by their backpak's and the brochure in his hand. The rest of the bystanders are enjoying a day on the beach. The background is very bright and the colors are flat. I decreased the brightness and exposure a little bit to improve the colors |

Hassan, you are giving us an image that implies peace and quiet times, but I think that in this particular case less is more. In the original image, the sitting man looks minuscule and gets lost in the landscape. The image is sharp, the horizon is straight and well placed in the frame. I cropped the image and did some cleaning of distracting elements. Now the man looks more obvious in the large real state. The cement slabs work as leading lines towards the man. |

Pierre, great " The moment it clicks" capture. Looks like it is coming out from down facing dog yoga position. It is a little soft and the bright patches in the background are somehow distracting. I decreased the brightness, added sharpness and detail, and working with the lasso tool and content aware cleaned some of the background in small patches. |

Abhijeet, as the name implies, very peaceful image. Your PP work really improved the image considerably. Beautiful sky/clouds. It is sharp, and the long exposure gave the quiet waters view. Your selection of cropping is also very suitable giving prevalence to the sky. |

Mary, there are no pixels on this window due to overexposure, so it is not possible to tone it down. I cloned the opposite window, flipped it and brought it over. The inside architecture, religious artifacts and the paintings are just incredible. I agree with Walt that perhaps a three (at least) HDR sequence would have helped to improve the windows. |

Walt, there was no color in the mountains with the available light. I did bring out a slight color at the front of the boats in the foreground but very subtle. The green was impossible. (It was like photographing deep underwater with no added light, everything looks blue and dark) |

Walt, you did a great job in PP to bring out detail in the foreground, and managing the light contamination on the right side of Mt Rainier. Beautiful colors. I like the way the path works as a leading line toward the mountain. I also like the touch of blue given by the flowers. Now, I think there is too much empty space in the sky with no interesting clouds or stars to see, so I cropped it slightly to bring the horizon line to the upper third. Also added an additional touch of light in the foreground using the graduated filter in ACR. |

Bruce, WOW, what a lovely and tender image, and you could not have asked for a better light. The purist would say that three or five is better (odd numbers, which you did have but the fifth is amputated) what what do they know ? It is what it is, They are very sharp, and all of them have a catchlight in the eyes. The story would go saying one fox to the other, look at that guy with big toys. The background is perfect. Good crop. The foxes litter is this big ?? |

Adrian, this is a busy image with several layers including foreground, mid ground and background, all filled with zebras. My first site I looked was the four zebras in the foreground, as Barbara Miller did, but unfortunately they are soft, and at the same time too close to the mid ground zebras to be able to crop them out effectible. Also, the zebras in the background are soft. Obviously, your focus point was in the middle ground, and being a long lens (not stated) the DOF is not great. in this image, less would have been better, but not always possible from the vantage point. It must have been overwhelming to see so many participants in this wild pijama party. |
