Thanks Bill and Guy for your comments. I will recheck the calibration on my monitor. I took the image back into photoshop. Did a selection of the orange tent, reversed and brought the snow to pure white (255). Also had to bring back the yellow of the light inside the tent. |

Thomas, great action capture and it is very sharp. I had an image of a kite surfer back in march 2016 (you can go back that way) which was not as good as this one. I think that the white line Joe is mentioning is one of the waves right below him and almost following his contour. I used the healing brush and eliminated that foamy line and also cropped the image in three sides and straightened the horizon line. |

Ian, indeed another mysterious masterpiece. A lot of witching going on. I have a question with respect to perspective. I see a secondary human image on the tree above the magician but its size is a lot smaller than him being almost on the same plane ?? It is not wide angle effect since you were at 85 mm. I did crop the image on three sides and repaired the white stroke. Interesting image and it is sharp. |

Bill, this PP really made the car stand out by removing/replacing the background with the texture. The car is well preserved, and it is very sharp in the image. The pastel colors all mix very well. Indeed you started out with a very goos image to begin with. I have to explore this technique a little more since it will be helpful in many images where the background is very distracting. Thanks for the link. |

Joe, great architectural image. I think you were too close and shooting up, and that is why the transform tool will not help to make this image straight. The building is a very interesting structure with lots of curves and detail. It is sharp. |

Erik, I can relate to your frustration for not being able to record the sequence of events. Anyway, your creation really tells the story where the big crab is being confronted by the two terns. Great vantage point (low enough) and superb management of the background which is not distracting. The greenery complements the environment. It is sharp and well composed. |

Guy, Indeed it is very sad that this is the common image of the young and not so young generation, There are new medical syndromes which involve the neck and upper spine from looking down for extended periods of time, and arthritis of the thumbs from non stop texting. Now, going back to your description, the building is very interesting. Those illuminated rectangular blocks really make the guys sitting on them stand out. The optical effect of the walls where you can see inward or outward projection of the structure. |

Barbara, great portrait, but the removal of the feathers left a smudge in the background. The way to avoid it is to select the hat, then you do an inverse selection, and using the clone stamp you can reproduce the background perfectly. This was done in the original picture |

Agree, almost twice as large. There is room and perspective for it. But it is a very elaborated composite indeed. |

Jim, great action image telling the story. Interesting the title with the analogy of the clouds in the sky, and the clouds created by the burning gunpowder from firing of the cannons. I think that there is too much sky and the action gets lost in the lower 1/3 of the frame, and also looks a little dark. I cropped the image, added light, still leaving enough sky to keep the original intention. I like the way all the soldiers are interacting and helping in the maneuver. Is the people in the far right the "enemy" or the expectators ? |

Gloria, thanks for the explanation. This image is more intimate and the passenger is interacting with you. It is obvios that this couple have done this before and are not afraid of the inclement weather, they want to get to point B regardless, and they share responsibilities. |

Daniel, I like the fact that you waited until the child on the toy car reached the intersection of the patterns so would be under the pressure of the waves making it very interesting. The image is low in contrast so I increased it, lowered the brightness and added some clarity and texture and added some light to the shadows. Also, cropped it in three sides to make the child more prevalent in the frame without loosing the impact of all the diferent patterns on the ground, framing the child. |

Gloria, your image of the bikers is "wet". Did your camera lens got wet by any chance, because that is the way that makes the patchy spots appear on the image, in addition to lens flare, or this is the window of your vehicle with lots of water droplets out of focus. I have been intrigued by the difference in the three wheels bikes: two in the front and one in the back like this one, versus one in the front and two in the back which to me is more logical, but what do I know....
The image color is dull due to the weather conditions. Now another question, is the driver a woman or another man. You did not include the entire wheels in the frame and the crop in the back is very tight. |

Hassan, I like this image very much, specially the mystery of the story. The man at the end of the street walking away from the scene, the water stream that works as a leading line towards him, and the multiple open eyes trying to figure out what is going on. The anticipation of the open door that someone else may come out into the scene also adds to the story. I did find the middle pole and the bright light at the bottom of the frame distracting and not adding anything to the story. The pastel colors are very nice, and the image is sharp. The presence of the human component makes the difference between a snapshot of the graffiti on the street, to a story telling creation. |

Mervyn, great image. The caterpillar is very sharp. I agree with Brenda about the cropping. Perhaps the two white spots she mentions could have been avoided by changing slightly the vantage point. |

Adrian, interesting bird and very acrobatic. The color is very vivid and contrasts very nicely with the green background. It look like a very elaborated nest. All the nature present in the frame complements the story of the "natural" habitat. Good crop and resulting composition. |

Bruce, what a beautiful and colorful bird. Great PP. It is unfortunate that is a weapon of roof destruction. I like his position in the frame and the way is standing in the natural perch. It is sharp, even after a better than 60 % crop. The white background makes him more visible. The out of focus and subtle color background is not distracting. |

Mike, what a magnificent image indeed. Peak of action, sharp and great non distracting background. A little cropping and a slight vignette concentrates your vision in the interacting birds. |
