4 May 19 Reply Yes, more impact May 18th
4 May 19 Comment Today I feel more realistic so I eliminated the blue hue from the hotel and beach, and the yellow from the storm. What do you think ?? May 17th
4 May 19 Reply Stephen, I have to rectify, the exposures were of 2 seconds only, but consecutive one after the other for a few minutes. This is one of the three exposures that were blended. The yellow and blue colors must have come out in the PP probably to increase the drama and impact. This is a raw file with added light for the shadow and exposure only. May 16th
4 May 19 Reply Thomas, here the atmospheric conditions were in my favor. The event was being repeated frequently, so the slight and consecutive long exposure took care of it. Other modalities are the use of electronic devices which trigger the camera faster of what you can think and react. May 16th
4 May 19 Reply Eric, yes indeed. She has a good "observing" eye. She is always bringing subjects to my attention. May 16th
4 May 19 Reply Thanks Guy. Interesting sequence of PP recipe May 16th
4 May 19 Reply Stephen, I will search for the original and post it later May 16th
4 May 19 Reply Ian, To flip or not o flip, that is always the question.... May 16th
4 May 19 Comment Ian, this image together with the B & W in group 31 of the candle lanterns are really outstanding and interesting. The perspective correction done by Guy, really looks great. The contrast of the blue sky with the red illumination of the building really brings out a lot of details. Here again your superb work has given you the opportunity to continue documenting for the future. Congratulations !!! May 9th
4 May 19 Comment Erik, this is an area of Florida to which I have not been there as yet, but the greek village is in my list of places to visit. Great sunset. I believe the cyan cast that Guy refers to maybe related to the reflections of the blue hour. Anyway, I did a selection of the shore line with the boats only and reduced the saturation of the blue with the resulting image. Does it look real ?? May 9th
4 May 19 Comment Joe, Mexico is full of color to say the least. In addition to what has been already said, to which I agree 100%, I will add that I like the way the bars reflect in the glass, but the background reflections are dissimilar braking the monotony. May 9th
4 May 19 Comment Thomas, at difference to Guy's reflection, this one is crystal clear, with the water tower in the middle of the frame, however, the horizon is not. The image is very sharp, and the the cloudless sky is kind of flat. Nice illumination of the tower coming from the side. May 9th
4 May 19 Comment Guy, nice reflection image, augmented by the ripples in the water, creating more interest, rather than a mirror crystal clear image. The fence between the trees adds interest. Nice colors. Sharp May 9th
4 May 19 Comment Bill, this is a very sharp image of the mute swan, and I like the way the wind is moving the feathers. The position of the head with the twisted neck and the shadows enhances the composition. Great non distracting background. Maybe, a little crop on the top. so the whole image is tightly cropped. 16 May 19 Comment Joan, great capture and PP. In my monitor I see a strong greenish hue in the four legs and the hair under the neck. Using two area selections I decreased the saturation of the green. Now the color of the fur looks normal color. May 15th

17 May 19 Comment Udayan, this is a great capture. His picaresque look is priceless. Interesting fact that there is a bunch of hot peppers tied at the top of the red door, which happens to be chained. I added some light to the shadows and did a white balance corrections with the square bricks on the wall. The three most interesting colors in digital photography are depicted here: white, red and yellow. The image is sharp and nicely composed and cropped. May 18th

58 May 19 Comment Jim, you captured the blue hour together with the illuminated fountain. It is sharp. It shows the illuminated toys as well. No public around but the vendor only. There is some color noise noted in both legs. The illuminated areas are well managed with minimal overexposure. May 14th
58 May 19 Comment Dan, I can see what you mean about the mischievous twins. Indeed they are into the getting wet game. The slow shutter speed allowed for some blur in the arms denoting rapid movement, more so by the water splash. Sharp where is supposed to be. Good colors. You captured them in the peak of the action May 14th
58 May 19 Comment Daniel, this is a fun image. Indeed the women are smiling and enjoying the moment in addition to the music. It is sharp. Good B&W interpretation. Must be a typical Tunisian hat. I just cropped a little from the top to eliminate the white band that keeps pulling my eyes up. May 10th
58 May 19 Comment Gloria, the image of the two persons inside the hair salon, and framed by the window is intriguing. Are these waiting customers or hairdresser with nothing to do ? but as it is the custom now days with the intelligent device in their hands. The B&W interpretation gives more character to the image. It is sharp. May 9th
58 May 19 Comment Hassan, I like the character of the image, perhaps to much movement which creates complete blur of the image, but still you can determine the two persons and the two umbrellas. The illuminated passage allows us to see the nature of the cobbled street and the goods sold. May 9th

72 May 19 Reply Mary, It is there, but very dark May 29th
72 May 19 Comment Bruce, indeed it was a pleasure to get to meet you in person at the Alligator Farm in St Augustin - Florida this past April on the occasion of the Florida birding festival and photo fest.
Your image of the pelican in breeding colors is very sharp. Your PP improved the colors and the sharpness. The bird is well placed in the frame, however, not much action is going on. The crop eliminated the distracting out of focus bird in the background. The dark shadows are less distracting.
May 14th
72 May 19 Comment Mary, good landscape of the marshland showing the two cattle egrets in the foreground, dry bushes and water in the middle and background, trees in the background complemented by the lighthouse, which is sharp and far away. The reflections in the quite blue water complements the image. May 14th
72 May 19 Reply Looks sharper indeed. Thanks. May 12th
72 May 19 Comment Kent, this image could be labeled tween picks. Indeed the condor is a magnificent bird. It is unfortunate that both are facing the other way. The birds are sharp, as is the mountain. I cropped it to remove most of the empty space. May 9th
72 May 19 Comment WAlt, the combine images gives an interesting result. I just wonder if a little more light would be appropriate for the mood, just to see more detail of the old car and the color of the flowers and keep the character of the image and the moon. May 9th
72 May 19 Comment Abhijeet, very interesting effect on the clouds with the long exposure, and the storm. Your PP brought out color in the sky and the tree, not seen at all in the original. The loneliness of the tree gives character to the image. May 9th
72 May 19 Comment Adrian, great capture. You were there at the decisive moment as per photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, when the croc came back to check/enjoy his prey. I like the flip. Your PP did bring some color and light out of the image, but I think it is still a little dark, so I added some to the shadows. Additionally, I do not think you need that additional space above the rocks, so I cropped it and added a slight vignette so now the attention is in the croc and prey.
BTW my image this month is also about crocs.

75 May 19 Comment Janice, this is a typical blast off the snow geese in Bosque del Apache, New Mexico. Now, there are two types of blurred images: the artistic blur (term invented by Arthur Morris...) where you are supposed to identify something of the subject) and a blurred image where you can not tell what is it, which seems the case in this image. This is an interesting abstract image, left to the imagination of the beholder. I do not think the painterly effect is adding to it. May 15th

80 May 19 Comment Bill. good capture. It looks better with more light in the shadows, and a crop eliminating the amputated motorcycle, still keeping emphasis on the starting line. May 14th
80 May 19 Comment Beverly your crop, and added straightening of the verticals May 14th

83 May 19 Reply I do, however; the original looks more like a vintage image. May 15th
