4 Jun 18 Comment Thanks to everybody for your comments Jun 20th
4 Jun 18 Reply Guy, your point is well taken, and now on second thoughts, I agree with you, but I like the way the wood lines frame the model, so; instead of cropping it, I cloned the bright areas of the curtain. What do you think now ? Jun 8th
4 Jun 18 Comment David, I agree with Guy's comments. I am a little compulsive with the distractions, specially the white areas in the background, which really pulls your eyes away from the smiling face. With the magic of photoshop, I tried to improve the image, also cropping slightly, and a touch of vignette. No flip this time though Jun 8th
4 Jun 18 Comment Ian, another great airplane image, and this one with the benefit of a long exposure to obtain te movement of the blades in a complete circle, made more obvious because of the paint. I do not know what U.S.A.A.C. stands for, but if you change the first letter you get ISAAC......
Being an environmental and photojournalistic image, I would not bother to remove the caravan in the background

4 Jun 18 Comment Erik, your image of the GBH with lunch (or dinner) is very sharp. I like the combination of curves produced by the head, neck and fish creating a great triangle. I prefer a more tighter crop and of course with the touch of a flip and a slight vignette. Jun 8th
4 Jun 18 Comment Guy, this image resembles an UFO. I like the vantage point you used to create it. It gives a lot of mystery, and you want to see more than what is visible. Agree with adding some light to the dark areas for more detail. As you can see it brought a lot of visitors from other groups. Great interaction. Jun 8th
4 Jun 18 Comment Joe, great variation of shapes and colors. Sharp. Interesting composition, and as I said before, I agree with the judge on cropping the narrow yellow bar. Agree with Guy as well that the image calls for more careful inspection. Jun 8th
4 Jun 18 Comment Bill, nice city scape of Tampa including the Convention Center, and with a great tone variation including very whites and very blacks. Your PP in Nik and Silver Efex paid off. It is very sharp. The reflection in the water is soft. No information on camera settings. Good composition. Jun 8th

58 Jun 18 Comment Gloria, it is an iconic image of tax time, but you captured him very close and he is smiling to you. You filled the frame with his face and his outfit crown. It tells the story of the time of the year. It is sharp. Jun 17th
58 Jun 18 Comment Jim, interesting the remark that Dan makes about the teachers not being able to spell. To me sounds more like ebonics. You captured some active intervention. Agree with the crop of the two women looking away of the action. Jun 17th
58 Jun 18 Comment Dan, indeed the woman's tattoo is allegoric to the fire department, so I wonder if she was part of the parade or just part of the observers. It is unfortunate that you had to amputate her right arm. Since you story is about the fire department and related, I cropped the image so the amputation is not obvious, and the fire truck still shows the message. Added a slight vignette. Jun 17th
58 Jun 18 Comment Hassan, interesting backlighted image, with prominent shadows. Indeed shows location, and the presence of the human component adds interest. At first I thought that perhaps the persons should be more silhouetted, but did not like the result, so instead, I added more light to the shadows to bring more detail to them. I flipped the image and looks better to me. Jun 17th
58 Jun 18 Comment Deborah, good photojournalistic/travel photo showing activity in the flowers market. I see that you lowered your vantage point to the level of the workers. I added some light to the shadows, made the foreground straight, and cropped some of the distracting additional motorcycles.
It is sharp

72 Jun 18 Comment Mary, good landscape. I like the way the tree as well as the worked on clouds frame the central bush, to which I added some more light in the shadows to see more detail. Slight clarity added as well. Interesting PP on the clouds as you showed us how to. Jun 17th
72 Jun 18 Comment Sue, as Bruce said the image is too small to appreciate detail. The crop is good even though the eagle and chick ended up in the center of the frame, but well framed by the branches. More technical information (settings) would be helpful for all of us. Jun 11th
72 Jun 18 Comment Kent, beautiful landscape. Its very sharp, the colors are well balanced, the composition after the crop improved with less distraction, and of course, made your dog more prevalent in the image. Jun 11th
72 Jun 18 Comment Abhijeet, this is the first time I see this bird. I agree with Bruce and Kent about the work you did to remove the metal mesh, but I also agree that the crop is really very tight amputating the back of the bird and the legs. The colors are well managed and the image is sharp. I would like to see more of the environment as well. Jun 11th
72 Jun 18 Comment Bruce, great capture of the "Red wing Black Bird" (name could not be more descriptive). The image is very sharp, the background is perfectly muted and the Crop produced a great composition. Indeed the male is calling for the female being in matting colors. This bird is very common in Florida's wetlands.
I also shoot with the Nikon 800 mm and it is almost impossible to handhold.
