Guy, interesting B&W image. It is sharp. I like the way the fence leads you to the main building, and the three poles with the spherical structures on top frames the image. Good contrast. I cropped a little from the top to move the horizon's line away from the middle of the image. |

Ian, nice image of a well weathered by the elements boat. I agree with Bill's removal of the distracting elements and adjustment of the colors/contrast. I added more light to the shadows so we can see more detail of the boat |

Joe, great capture, and again; you have a very good eye to see beyond the common. Great reflection and multicolor canvas. Very sharp. I like the aged paint on the wall. It is a matured in time image. |

Erik, you have good eyes to notice the presence of the snake. Very vivid colors contrasting the yellow and the green of the bamboo. Agree with Bill that the head is a little soft. Now, I like very much the square crop. We have to remember that most of the vintage film cameras had a square negative. I use this crop very frequently. |

Bill, you can never go wrong flipping !! Chief Pontiac indeed flows better from left to right. I have not visited Old Car City as yet, but hope to do it in the near future.
This image is really intense, and the detail you were able to obtain with the HDR exposure and adjustments with the different soft wares, achieved an image very easily printable and to hang in your studio/living room. It is really impressive all the changes caused by long term exposure to the elements. The background is slightly blurred and not distracting at all. |

Liz, you have a good eye. I agree that it looks awkward to find a piano in the middle of an industrial area. I cropped the image to make the piano take prevalence and reduce some of the negative space, now the pillars frame the piano.Increased the light in the shadows, and now you can see some graffiti detail on the piano. Also, by a selection decreased the brightness in the open space. Interesting as well is the improvised chair for the piano. |

Dan, interesting image of the individual. He seems to be talking to you as he enjoys his peanut butter. Indeed the light condition were not the best, very harsh, there is presence of lens flare created by the incident light to the camera lens. You were able to bring back some detail is his face, but there is still room for more. I increased the light in the shadows, added some black, and reduced the highlights and the whites, and cropped the image to make it more intimate, and you still show the environment. |

Gloria, I think that the way you cropped is better. Takes away the "hangings" . |

Gloria, you captured the man in motion and looking away from the restaurants. I Wonder if something caught his attention. I like the shape of the shadows in the ground. It adds tridimentionality to the image. There is the second human component, inside the other "store/ restaurant as Mofassirul mentions. The colors are a little washed out in my monitor. I reduced the brightness and whites, added black and clarity which improved somehow the contrast and definition of the colors. Good Street Scene. |

My impression is that this guy comes frequently to the store and posses around and likes to be photographed. No modern photographer walks around with one of this vintage film cameras. |

Mofassirul, this is an interesting image of a group of children playing with mud. In spite of the fact that we do not see any of the faces, they seem to be having a good time with a very simple activity. The image is a little soft. I added some light to the shadows, added some clarity which improved slightly the sharpness, and cropped out the stick on the side since it does not add to the image and is slightly distracting. I like the circumferential arrangement of the kids. |

Daniel, great image full of architectural details with a homogeneous white background which is not distracting and allows the zig zag stairs work as leading lines towards the individual. Indeed the man with the loly contrast's with the holy place. Now, I find the large elaborated structure on the other side of the frame to be overwhelming and taking prevalence over the individual and taking my eyes in that direction, so I cropped it out and made the image a vertical one. Also added a little light to the shadows. |
