Nice milky way image. The three lights you mention really work for me they act to lead my eye into the "city" lights and then Milky way. I think the shadow railing on the lower left could be removed but it is so innocuous it doesn't matter much. You're are right, white balance can be difficult. |

Lovely image Bob. Your were right on target using a vignette to focus our view of the model. |

Nice capture Norm. If you have another chance it would be nice to reshoot with the parliamentary building brought a bit more into the image. |

What a WOW photo. Intense colors and composition that draws me right into it. cropping out the reflection on the floor works but I like the leading lines so perhaps just removing them (clone tool etc.) would work too. |

Wonderfully meaningful capture. I didn't see your settings but the explaination really gives meaning to the photograph.
Depth of field comments and perhaps reducint hadowss a little might be nice if you are there another time. Or if you wanted just applying a lens blur could work also.

Everyone is right, the subject was probably 10 - 15 meters (30-45 ft.) away and unaware of me. I just noticed the picture their friend was taking would not give them the background. I emailed a couple of images to the lady, a university professor, who seemed to appreciated receiving the memorabilia of their trip.
As everyone recognized it is just a snapshot but I really appreciate everyone's comments. Even as a snapshot I noticed a couple of clean up items I should have done. I doesn't do anything for the pose but at least cleans up a little. |
