Thank John, Actually I'm not sure the bucket even had a bottom in it but it made a great prop. :>) |

Hi Stan, Sounds good to me. I'll put it on my calendar to keep it open. I'm in Asia until March 17 and may try a birding trip in Florida but I'll plan to be here for the 24th. Oh, met Elena McTighe on the Inner Mongolia trip. She had wonderful comments about you and Shirley. |

Sorry I missed you critique. You and Shirley are always interesting and informative.
The stream helps to complete the story so I'll add it back in. I really screwed up in forgetting to set the exposure at +2/3 EV for snow. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll work on bringing out the scene.

I am most taken by the lead into the capital building. I would consider tightening the crop to the Zion Bank on the left as well as the 500 sign on the right and perhaps bring up the bottom a bit (to remove the sign and perhaps even to remove headlights so your left with the light trail). Regardless it is a really nice photograph. Too bad about the clouds over the moon. But it is only another 150 years to get another chance at it :>) |

Mesa Arch is a really fun place for photography but you are right about the crowds. My wife and I were there late last year and had to make two trips to get a good spot. Some of the best shots are after most people leave. Your shot from the right side is a great view of the sunrise. Really nice capture of the light. |

I agree with Tracy's comments but I think a slight crop to keep part of the tree on the left would help keep the eye in the photo and perhaps carry a balance to the two trees on the right. Replacing the sky would help but I imagine it will be difficult to find a replacement sky that will work. |

Wonderful image Stan. I love the capture of shapes over what I suspect was 36 to 45 feet of walkway plus another 4 feet from the forward light. Regardless I like the depth it gives to the image. Great photo |

I am amazed at the performance of new cameras. You really pulled off a very difficult shot by forethought and great equipment. Also a great job of bringing out the structure of the clouds. the reflected lights in the water and clouds in the sky nicely bring out the City. |

Really nice exposure and perspective on the car. Norm is probably right but I also bet that you have a number of shots bringing out the impressive details on the car. Nice image. |

Hello Norm & Tracy, I really appreciate the comments. At first I hesitated to remove the stream as part of the story so I went back and then changed the exposure as well as adding structure to the stream flow. Then I recropped the image per both of your suggestions and it became clear that you were right on target. Then I reduced the blue from my lousy exposure setting (really should have had a +2/3 EV). |
