thanks john, I was trying to keep the tool in the image but I agree it is mostly just empty space. I'll redo the cropping and see how it comes out. |

Thanks Norm, I did a modification that I've attached. It is a good idea but the image is pushed so far that it fells a bit grainy. I imagine it is because it is from a 5D III camera and only using 1/8th or less of the image. Still it's a good idea and I'll take a longer look at it later. |

You have a really good ability to visualize. I have a backyard full of these things and only thought about cleaning the yard as opposed to taking a picture. There may be a small round spot at the top just left of center. Only something I noticed at the end but the photo is really well exposed. Personally I like the image without a stroke because of the impact of the exposure. If you do decide on a stroke you may want to consider 18% grey which seems to have a complex discussion but typically RGB would be 209, 209, 209. |

Great comments. There were two problems in cropping. First I just barely caught the pipe in the shot and second the lighting came from a doorway so there was a fairly harsh exposure just below the neck. I will relook at fixing the light below the girls head and see if I can do anything with it. FYI I just attached a copy of the image before cropping. |

Nice butterfly image Norm. Whatever you decide on the cropping I love the depth of field and colors you have. |

Nice Cityscape Stan with great reflections and lighting. Great work on a difficult exposure. My only minor comment is perhaps try to take the brightness in the foreground freeway down a little bit. |

Well done John. Not only wonderful vibrant colors but the boards create leading lines that the change in colors keep my eye in the photo's. As the others said the shaping and curvature of the boards leads one to expect a boat which is only ancillary to the image which stands on it's own merit. |
