A super setting. Just love these barns that you have across there. Funny how these old buildings have such a wide appeal to photographers. Probably because they have so much character. They are nicely set against the backdrop of trees. Nice that the sky is so dark with the lovely white single cloud. Its a pity you didn't have enough foreground in front of the barn. The modern gates are a contradiction to the era of the barns and are in themselves a barrier to getting through to this superb scene. There seems to be some grassy area in front of the barns. would it have been possible to walk up to the gates and take this scene. . |

Sharon this image is sublime. You have gone through various processes to achieve it and it has worked. Love the way it recedes from deeper colours at the front to paler at the back and the centre just GLOWS. The cropping is spot on and I cannot see anything else you could do to improve it. Just leave it as is. Its perfect. Anything else you do might detract. Sometimes you can overwork images. I know to my cost. |

To me this is an image of patterns and shapes. The patterns of the sand and shape of the mounds of sands. I feel the clump of grass in the centre is an important focal point but like the way the shadow on the left sweeps round to attach itself to it. Nice that you have some shadow to give some form. The sky is subtle and not intrusive being of similar tones, although looks slightly grainy. Could you de-noise the sky only a little to make an improvement. Also like the shape of the clouds streaking along horizontally. Was this a long exposure to get this effect in the clouds. Very nice. |

You have produced a beautiful image. The colouration of the leaves is superb, but the icing on the cake is the butterfly spread eagled with the light shining through its wings. the flowers are also standing out prominently. All in all a cracking image however you did it. I also don't make notes as I chop and change a lot and forget how I came to the end result sometimes. If I were to make an improvement I would crop a bit off the top getting rid of the golden lightish part
which would make the flowers and butterfly jump forward. Great shot. |

I do like this Nelson an like the way you have kept the grasses
at the bottom. It would have been so easy to have cropped them off but I feel they are holding the scene together. The delicate colours of your trees are very nice. Good sky but perhaps a little desaturation of the Blue would be more in keeping with your subtle colours. Easy for me to say who sometimes goes overboard in CLiR, but sometimes you don't see your own failings and this is why a group like this helps to put us back on track. Love the arty one (Original 2). Gives it a water colour look. |
