Thank you Nelson. We here are shut in also and the frustration is that we have missed a lot of excellent IR weather conditions. Hopefully it will end soon, but the weather will help us out. Not always possible in this country. |

You may have a point Sharon. I suppose thee is a lot of foliage to the left not contributing much. Will crop as you suggest and reassess the image. thanks for your input. |

Wow. You do get some gigantic trees across there. This looks very impressive and the branches seem to go on forever away from the trunk. One wonders how they do not collapse due to their weight. There is an abundance of attractive foliage covering the branches and this is where I am having trouble. So much to take in and I feel a reasonable crop off the left would make it more comfortable viewing for me, otherwise a truly great capture and processing job. |

This looks a particularly interesting and attractive gazebo against a backdrop of firs. I like the construction to the left of it and wonder what it is. I feel that if the tree in the foreground was sharp it would add more to the image as the
branch sits nicely over the top of the gazebo, but is more of a distraction in this case. Overall the image is mostly mid tones and I feel a little of contrast and sharpening would help lift it. A very nice scene and worth retaking if it were possible. |

You seem to have had a very contrasty day when you shot this but have done a good job in controlling things. Perhaps the pillars could do to be toned down ever so slightly. I like the way you have positioned this building under the white fluffy cloud, (its got its hat on) and the fact you have added more space to the left of it. |

Wow. This is dramatic. What a tree which totally dominates the scene but cradles this lovely chapel but still does not take attention away from it. It is just as important to the scene so they compliment one another. great foliage on the heavy bows. All goes to make a very interesting scene and I'm not surprised in the least its has won awards. Well done.
p.s. I'm amused you said you 'clicked' on something in CLiR. This is exactly what I do then can't remember how I achieved a result. Glad I'm not alone. |

This looks a powerful bit of machinery which you have brought out the most using your computer skills. Very clever. The Toning suits the sense of the era, and I do like the minute piece of machinery situated on the ground under the span of the
the arm of the machine. I have tried putting my thumb over it to blot it out to see if it is necessary but think I like it there as it gives a sense of scale to how big this thing is. I like the mottled clouds in the sky and the lightening of the corners. Border not bad either. Totally in character. Nice one Julie. |

I do like the simplicity of this and the toning which gives a warm feel to the image. Love the straightness of the trees reaching upwards with just the hint of a sky peeping through. The lead in of the boardwalk is great as it leads through about a third of the image before reaching the trees. I can't think of anything you could do to improve an already perfect image but perhaps Terry has a point about darkening the base. |
