35 Apr 20 Comment Welcome Terry. Nice to have you on board. And I feel we have a lot to learn from you. The image you have shown us here is in my view excellent in composition, tonal range and pictorially. I would not have immediately recognised it as being an IR image, but rather a top class Monochrome. Love the sharpness and texture in the image where it needs to be, contrasting with the softness of the clouds in an interesting sky. Great shot. Apr 15th
35 Apr 20 Reply Thanks Julie. Will try cropping the buildings off for comparison. Apr 14th
35 Apr 20 Reply Thanks Sharon. Will try that Apr 14th
35 Apr 20 Comment A good indication of what a winery is like. I take it you like your wine Stuart!! Our favourite is Red !! Good idea to add the sky. It adds interest to what was a blank area. The seat is well placed and adds a bit of solidity to the softness of the vines behind it. Were you with someone. You should have asked them to sit on the swing (with a glass and bottle in hand - oops). If I had to make a minor crit it would be to crop quite a bit off the base which is not contributing to the story which would bring the seat and vineyard more prominent in the scene. Apr 9th
35 Apr 20 Comment I can image how impressed you must have been to see this with the fronds of the palms splaying out like this like canopies. I do like the way you have composed this with the foreground tree offset to the right then the others falling in a regimented line behind it. Great processing. Apr 9th
35 Apr 20 Comment Looks an impressive building even the back view. Looks very sharp, but retaining the softness in the sky. Great job in removing the flagpole and retaining continuity of the bricks on the building. Nice tonal range. Apr 9th
35 Apr 20 Comment I absolutely love this, but B & W has always been a great love of mine. Nonetheless, it is a great shot with loads of interest and information about the 'Life of a Shrimper'. The B & W rendition has brought out superb texture in the wellies and clothes and I can't imagine this would look as good in colour. Great shot.

The info you give re BW Profiles is very interesting, I used Silver effects a lot so good to know this. Must have a look and experiment. Keep the tidbits coming!!

35 Apr 20 Comment This is a very interesting image Sharon. I do like the shape of the bridge being used as a backdrop against the trees and feel that you have composite it perfectly the solid part of the bridge being behind the thicker clump of trees. The bridge also adds a solid contrast to the delicacy of the trees and sky. Sky being particularly delicate and subtle. You have gone to a lot of trouble to get this effect and I feel you have done a great job and I could not make any comment as to how to improve other than perhaps toning down the light patch at the base next to the path. Well done. Apr 9th
