I find this a very gentle subtle image Debbie and like the way you have processed it,.The different types of ferns and foliage all look interesting with different patterned features. Perhaps a little off the bottom would help, but I do like the pastel sky which to me fits in with the delicate nature of the trees and shrubs. |

Thank you Stuart, but it's usually a case of hit and miss. |

There does not seem to be the same hang-up in this country Sharon about taking others art as there is over there. There is art everywhere, sculptures, churches, all sorts. Mainly there are no restrictions here and we have free reign other than sometimes in churches and stately homes, 'no tripods'. |

I think Julie is right with this one. Great texture in the posts and printed superbly, but they could do to be against that great sky to give them more prominence. |

This is a beautiful image Julie, and subtly toned. I feel the crop is just right as knowing from experience what these Lake District towns are like, I think you have represented it very well, even the building is typical, built with stone and slate roof. Only eye catching feature to me, which you could easily remove, is the very white line on the corner of the church. Is it a flagpole or something similar. |

The trips on the Conference must have been very interesting Stuart even if you did have to get up early!! You have produced a good pattern image with all lines leading away to the left. I do like the cloud and feel that it helps the feeling of vastness in this huge field of bales. My only crit would be that the image is made up of mainly mid tones and feel it could do with a bit of a lift giving some life to the clouds and perhaps some depth to the lines leading away. You could try curves to get an effect, then brushing out on a mask
that which you feel is not needed. |

A superb quality image as usual Sharon. There are a lot of very nice elements in the image i.e. Superb sky, fantastic tree and very interesting textured rock but I feel they all merge into one another and none singly project which is a shame as all of the elements are good. Just need a bit of separation between them. If you took any more at different angles it would be worth looking back at them to see if you have something that does set one of the features apart from the others. |
