An interesting building with a lot to explore within the image.
You have been very clever exposing, giving two lead in lines taking the viewer straight to the building. - The stairs and the curved wall. I feel it is a very clinical image, clean and sharp which is a style you have perfected. I would think it would do well in an Exhibition, although judge's tastes do differ, but there's one way of finding out!! |

From your original I can understand why it was a difficult image to process. It is a lovely scene but an awful lot of foliage to deal with to make the tree stand out. I feel Stuart hit the nail on the head and from your original conversion above you seem to have more emphasis on the tree, showing its splendid shape by toning down the surrounding foliage. The eye now goes straight to the tree and the image is more pictorial in my opinion than the cropped version. Full marks for experimenting Julie. |

This is a wonderfully subtle artistic rendition of this flower head. You have done a great job here and your processing has shown that you have a great knowledge of all the forms you have used. I have to admit I am still struggling a bit with CLiR, and commend you on your use of these different methods of processing. I have to agree with Stuart that the Black spots would be best taken out as they are somewhat of a distraction to such a beautiful flower study. |

What a fascinating image. I really can't think of any way of improving it as you have done an excellent job here. A great story of traditional methods which could well be dying out, but aesthetically with the noodles hanging like drapes on a window and tied in the middle it makes a very pleasing pattern. Well done. Your visit to Taiwan has provided you with some very interesting images. |
