Perhaps you are right April. I can try that before I print. |

Another lovely church, not dissimilar in shape to Sharons except for the fact it seems to have original boards rather than being painted. It is in a lovely situation being framed bark patterns on the trunks. You have achieved a lovely luminosity in the foliage and I can almost imaging the brightness of a lovely sunny day. Although this is a high keyish image, my preference would be to see some contrast in the church and the tree trunks to enjoy the textures there.
Nice work though Julie as usual. |

A great artistic effect and I love the effect in the trees. You were right not to take it too far. Still recognisable as what appears to be the branches of the trees swaying and dancing around. I do like the way the cloud has been affected.
I think perhaps the wooden sign could have been cloned out as to me it is realistic and breaks the harmony of the artistic effect. A simple thing for you to do. |

Well it certainly is a fun image April and amusing that the people are not looking towards your camera, but a lot of the masks are. Good idea and a totally different idea. |

What a nice clean crisp image Nelson and there's not a lot a don't like about it. Love the delicate tree and fence t the top right and the overall luminosity of the foliage. The steps are a great way of leading you through the image and I just love the shadow on the stone path at the base of the step.
What I'm not in armour with is the stone path at the base and feel it should be cropped off just below the shadows but perhaps it is there for a reason. Great quality image. |

that's what photography is about Stuart, enjoying and having fun. I am so pleased you had fun producing this and doing a bit of experimenting which all helps to understand what is going on. It is a magnificent tree totally different from anything we have here. I think you were wise not to use Topaz as there is enough going on overall. There are fascinating tinges of colour appearing at the edges of your clouds - bit of magenta and cyan.A great effect which I like and enjoy, but no I wouldn't hang it on my wall either. Well done for the effort. |

What a quaint little chapel. So pristine and clean looking so different from our old stone/brick chapels and churches across in the UK. I can see you have done a lot of work removing lines in the sky and straightening up the building although I still feel it has a slight tilt. The sky to me is great and I cannot detect any sign of noise, although I do not know the method you have used in Lightroom with a brush, as, although I do have Lightroom, tend to stick to PS and cannot think of how to do it similarly there. There is a brighter area in the sky top right which could be toned down just a little to balance with the rest of the sky. My only other crit is I do not understand why the spire is darker than the front of the building when it is facing the same direction. All in all I think you have done an excellent job here. |
