35 Sep 18 Comment Yes Julie A very familiar type scene to us that live in this beautiful area. I do like the way the walls of the road wends its way through the valley but feel there is too much road at the base and would be tempted to crop to below the white clump of foliage at the right wall. The Impressions effect certainly has given a painterly effect, but flattened out the tones and I would like to see a wee bit more contrast especially in the shadow areas. But this is purely subjective. It is a very nice image as I would expect from you. Sep 12th
35 Sep 18 Comment Well done you for getting a ribbon for this stately tree which is very majestic. You have done a lot of well deserved work with this and it has paid off. The image is all about this proud tree throwing out its branches in a wide gesture. I do like the way you have placed the 'sun' (texture) as though it were breaking through the branches at sunup. Great image. Sep 12th
35 Sep 18 Comment This must have been an great experience to see these nomads April and your image gives an interesting insight to their way of life. I'm pleased you corrected yourself as the main image is overall made up of mid tones but you have processed it well to bring out some contrast. I think I agree with Julie that a crop from the top would give more emphasis to what is going on with the the herd. I would leave in the herd at the top left as that is part of the story. Sep 12th
35 Sep 18 Comment Great subject for IR Stuart and the image you have shown is very good quality showing the church and its surroundings off to good effect. There is a very fine wire cutting through the foliage from the right edge up to the obelisk and then sort of appears again before reaching the side of the church. This would be very easy to clone away. To further improve your image I would suggest filling an empty layer with 50% grey and using the brush with white on a low opacity, build up some lightness in the trees and perhaps the little grey cloud to bring some extra life into the image. Superb setting. Sep 12th
35 Sep 18 Comment Firstly Nelson may I congratulate you on your recent success with your IR images in PSA comp. Very well done. With regard to this image, Wow what a setting for a wedding. I bet the bridge and groom would be delighted with the results. The castle stands out well and I like the way it is surrounded by the lovely foliage making it very dreamy. I guess you have used some kind of structure to bring out the stone effect in the castle which works very well showing the structure of the castle. However I personally feel I would be inclined to remove the sharpening
/structure from the foliage to give some softness to these areas to compliment the hardness of the castle. Lovely image.

35 Sep 18 Comment In my eyes Sharon this is a winning image. The quality is superb as is the tonal range. I like the way the path leads you into the image past the two very straight trees and do like the branch with star leaves falling down the middle of the tree on the left. Lovely image as usuzal.
