A beautiful image. Well taken with the pathway leading into the trees. The band of tulips makes a grand entrance with hope and promise of more to come as you walk through the wood. Lovely! |

A superb tree. One which we don't see in this country. The type of foliage stands out very well and shows the tree in all its glory. Great |IR sky with these lovely White clouds against the dark sky. There seems a lot going on at ground level . It would be great to see the tree on the skyline to separate it from the busy ground. Could maybe have been achieved by taking from a lower level, but if you're like me and got old creaky knees it wouldn't have been possible. Great shot nevertheless. |

Welcome April. I do hope you enjoy our little group and have pleasure every month getting to know us an our images.
Wow this is a different approach to the norm in IR and it has taken me some time to decipher what is going on, even though you have explained. The reflection is very sharp and contrasty, and you have done a great job bringing out the elements with your various methods. An intriguing first image. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. |

What a delightful scene this must have been when you came across it. In your finished result there is a lot going on and looks quite contrasty. The Lovely clouds act as a dramatic backdrop and then you have quite a busy area before your eyes rest on the foreground boat. I do prefer the more subtle and gentler version of the original which I find a more attractive rendition of this lovely scene. |

I understand what you are saying Julie. It is worth persevering with this image, and you are correct in saying the whites in the one you have processed are a bit lacking. I feel in the sepia one there is more detail in these areas. Having said that I can come up with no ideas on how to clarify them even further as you seem to have tried all sorts, and you are a very experienced worker. What I would say is, in my opinion cropping off the building on the left would concentrate on the diagonal line of the urns and make a stronger composition. Worthwhile still working at it as it's a very good image. |
