Looks as though you may have had a successful IR trip to Thailand. This very impressive statue looks good sitting amongst the foliage. Excellent exposure showing all the detail clearly in his backrest and turban A strong solid feature amongst the softness of the trees around him. A interesting image to scan and wondering what all the figures surrounding him represent. ie at the edge of the backrest, and at the base. Must have been a very interesting vacation. |

This I feel, is a lovely well executed image showing off these gardens to advantage and there is nothing whatsoever I could criticise about it. However, I can't relate it to IR as it looks so natural, and I'm thinking it might look quite similar to what it would normally look like but, I may be way off track. I think what I'm trying to say is that it looks as though it could have symbolised a colour shot and for me the mystic of IR is missing. I applaud you for trying this out and although it is a very nice image indeed, it doesn't quite work for me. |

Another super image Julie. And this gives a feeling of the place showing the crumbling masonry and shuttered windows. The trees are beautiful. I love the delicacy of the foliage contrasting against the hardness of the buildings. I'm not too bothered about the walking tourists in the scene, but what I do like is the lady sitting on the bench. She looks so relaxed, to the extent that she seems to be having a gaping yawn in her relaxed and sunny surroundings. I also feel that the plaque on the wall on the left hand side could be removed. The jury's still out on that point. Great shot. |

This image is full of drama Stuart. The weathered trees stand out very prominently against the fantastic and interesting sky.
the sky is in conflict with itself. On one hand it seems to be bubbling over like steam on the left whilst the backdrop sky is speeding away to the right in streaks. Almost as though there was a forest fire in the distance. Very apt considering what has been happening with fires there recently. The tree stands its ground though. I feel this is your best yet. You must be getting the hang of it now. Great image. |
